Our AOS was received on August 11th and we also didn't include the I-944. My credit card has not been charged yet. It is going to take sometime because I was in the July AOS thread and for alot of people it took like 3 weeks to a month before the were charged. It was originally received on July 27 but we just got rejected due to outdated version of I-485 form. I had the 7/15/19 version but the newer version is 10/15/19. Please everyone make sure you have the all of the updated forms.

That's good to know. Thanks for sharing. I was hoping our check would be cashed within a week but now I know it can take waaaay longer than that... Also, I'm sorry to hear about your issues with the form. It sucks that this process has so many tricky parts. I hope everything goes well for you guys now.

Go Brazil! 😆

Hey guys! Another August filer here.

We sent our application package by USPS certified mail and was delivered on August 8th according to the tracking info. They haven't charged my card yet and I am starting to worry. I wonder if there's anything we can do besides waiting.

Anyone's card/check with an application delivered on 08/08 or later has been charged yet?

I don’t think think you need to worry yet. There are people on this forum whose package arrived on the 4th and they still have not heard anything or have their checks cashed. With the virus and the looming furlough, processing times are just unpredictable. I hope you hear something soon about your case but I don’t think you need to worry. All the best!

Hey guys. I have three questions for you.

1. Do I need to have multiple official marriage certificates for each section or can I just have one and the others be copies of that.
2. Do I need to include marriage certificate for all of the K2 parts as well? If so I really don't want to buy six certified marriage certificates so I want to check!
3. Did you guys include the last page on the forms (the additional information page) in the applications where you didn't have any writing on it. Mine are blank. Do I need them?

Thanks!

You can just send a photocopy of your marriage certificates. Include the complete form even if they're blank. All documents are initially scanned via a machine so it would be best to submit the complete pages of the forms.

1/2: You only need to send photocopy of the marriage certificate. USCIS doesn't need original copy at the time of filing the application. They have mentioned about this clearly in their instruction pdf and discourage to send any original documents unless made specifically for the purpose of the application adjudication.

3. Yes, do include the last page even if its blank. Every page has page number so make sure nothing is missing when you count them.

Hi everyone! My wife is always telling me Brazilians are everywhere...  :)

Our adjustment package was signed for by Harper yesterday. We did not include the I-944 based on the USCIS instructions, but are expecting USCIS to request them at some point so we have the documents ready to go.

Fingers crossed that the furlough is avoided and our applications are processed quickly!

Hi guys! I filed for AOS with the forms I-485 and I-130 filed concurrently. I mailed the application out on July 31st to the Chicago Lockbox with USPS and it was received by USCIS the next day on August 1st (Saturday). Today is August 21st (that is 3 weeks since mailed out) and have not received news from USCIS, nor check cashed, nor NOA1 yet. Should I worry? I am afraid that they could have rejected the application. Hopefully not 🙏🏻 Any advice guys? The USCIS webpage recommends to wait at least 30 days and not calling within the first 30 days after filing, but I’m starting to feel anxious since I have seen that many of you filed a couple of days after me and have already received updates from USCIS. Thank you 😊
