   I actually don't see a point to all this anyway. If the crowd really intended violence on them, the McCloskey's actually made themselves targets by walking outside and waving guns around.  IMO, the McCloskey's were trying to intimidate the crowd so they would leave. If they actually believed they were in danger, they would have fired at whomever it was they believed was attacking them.

 

Close to what I said, but not quite. Pulling a gun on someone, shots fired or not, comes with consequences.  It all boils down to a perceived threat. Was it serious enough to warrant the fear or not.

Now as regards discharge, the criteria becomes tougher, as it should.

 

Just my opinion, which matter not much at all except to me... from watching the videos and seeing pics, as well as reading a couple of articles when it first happened, I don't think they did anything egregious enough to require charges being filed.  They didn't threaten any single person, they didn't point a gun at any person and threaten to shoot, they simply brandished the guns as a sign they were willing to defend their property, and demand that the trespassers leave.  I think they were well within their rights to do so, particularly if there were verbal threats from the crowd.  With all the rioting and looting that has been allowed to occur the past month or more, I'd likely have done the same thing.

Not really sure any flex was intended, but you read into it anything you wish.  The fact that a rich white guy named Hunter Biden throws around racist terms regularly, and racism is a learned trait, I wonder where he learned it from.
