Our visa appointment has been delayed 3 times since March. The last appointment for july 6th was canceled by them.

Our k1 (noa2 validity) expired may 31st. We emailed 2x each and I sent 2 faxes about extending it with no response.  I don't know if it is extended or not. No communication.  What do  I do about this? Is there a way to check if it's been extended? How long can they extend it?

My fiance did his medical in the end of May because he had an appointment on June 1st and they canceled it during his medical appointment.  Is that medical appointment still going to be good or will he have to do and pay for another one?

Does anyone have any information on if they're going to open soon? They have not updated their website to tell us about why the appointment they rescheduled is canceled or when they will reopen.

It will not be a light switch.  They will not open simultaneously as it is all dependent on the local situation.

YMMV

Since the NOA2 is good for one year from approval you have really nothing to be concerned about. Times are different now so you must have more patience and less expectations.

Stay connected with the embassy website where your interview will take place for further instructions.

Each embassy is going to open when it is safe to open in that part of the world. Some will open sooner than others. We know of two that have opened for scheduling with interview beginning next month.

In Bosnia they said that all documents that were prepared will be valid for one year. I did medical in March and all other documentation. Also they said that it won’t be a problem that NOA2 has expired, because this all is not our fault, so they said not to worry about it. However, I have a written email from them claiming that so I do have a proof. Now in your case it will be a good thing to try to get in touch with them just so you have their confirmation. Good luck

The i129f discussion seems to just be about getting your noa2. We are past that stage.  We have all of our documents and we're ready for the interview.

The coronavirus thread is helpful but alarming.  One post said Turkey won't open til feb 2021. I hope that's not the case.

  • 1 month later...

Hi everybody.

I have some questions about visas.

Which visa is better K1 or CR1? What is situation about COVID.? Which visa is shorter to wait K1 or CR1?

I read somewhere on internet that K1 visa has waiting time like CR1.

What are the requirements for CR1 if a person is not working, but he has a sponsorship support.

Im from Sarajevo. Thanks a lot.

NOA2 s extended by embassy automatically for another 4 months, than another 4 months and so on,  they must see you are serious about your interview, paid fees, communication with embassy etc.

They will get some big money, on October 2 this year new fees are going into effect, everything goes up, so they will not open until than for sure.

After October 2 they will start slowly moving on to process all cases, now mission is to delay everyone so they get more cash later, this immigration is better than oil business probably.

It is Capitalism isn't it?.?.?

Funding for USCIS has nothing to do with the embassies.
