Hi guys, want to ask how long it takes for you to receive the green card since POE date, I entered US on 27th Mar 2020, now still yet to receive the card.

I know it's up to 120 days for me to receive it, but want to know any normal timeline for this, especially now due to the COVID-19 situation.

At this point, the answer is a couple weeks to nearly a year.  Impossible to predict.  On what date did you pay the new immigrant fee of $220?

A year, really? Because of the pandemic?

I entered the US on March 12th and received my greencard almost exactly 4 weeks later.

My social security card however is still mia, so I'm patiently waiting for social security offices near me to reopen.

If you find the job, you can take the offer letter and dire need letter with you to make an appt by calling the local office directly.

I've seen it take nearly a year before the pandemic.  It's impossible to predict.

I asked when you paid the new immigrant fee, because your clock starts on the later of that date or the date of your entry.  Have you paid the fee?  If not, your clock is still at zero on receiving the green card.

I'm telling you what I've seen through experience.  USCIS says is not always equal to what happens in actual practice.  Paying the new immigrant fee AFTER entering the US, typically causes a delay but still impossible to predict.  A quoted standard is not a guarantee of anything.

One part of problem solving is to narrow down the potential causes.  When you paid the fee, is now eliminated as one potential cause for the delay.  Unfortunately, there are a few other potential causes, more difficult to eliminate.

I wonder if it’s POE related ... Some are lucky and receive it soon and others like us have to wait a long time 😕 I arrived March 3 on Houston and still waiting.
