  1. Oh we called the SSA hotline directly, after check, my record is not in the SSA database, the officer suggested us to go to the office directly. for the green card, we emailed the USCIS for this, and after 1 month, they replied that it takes up to 120 days to recieve the physical card, just asked us to wait....
  2. It takes about the same time now for CR1 and K1, suggest you to go for CR1 directly and you can start working immidiately once you enter US. For K1 visa, you need to get married and do the adjustment of status and go through over again the whole process for CR1 which is very time-consuming.
  3. Apparently the custom officer forgot to file my POE info to the SSN Department as it's a different database from USCIS, and I need to go to SSN office to register again which dont have a clear date to reopen so far. I entered US on 27 Mar, still yet to receive the green card.
  4. i think nothing but wait, i tried to call NVC and waited 1 hr on the line, they said it depends on the embassy to get back to NVC on the available dates, NVC also need to wait for consulate's reponse, you can check the CC to appt sheet to get the avarage waiting time on your consulate.
  5. its possible, my CC on 9 Jan, and got the appt letter on 18 Feb only, it has been one and half month.
  6. It's possible. You can have a try by asking your wife's parents to get the birth cert, need them to prepare the household docs, her passport sized photo and get notarised. My dad got my police cert notarised in China while i was in Singapore and he brought it over to Singapore. For the divorce book i think you can ask local lawyers or singapore lawyers to get it translated and notarised. You have to submit all the required (so your wife's police cert, both in indonesia and china, birth cert, translated and notarised divorce cert have to be submitted) civil docs to the NVC, NVC won't process your case until you have all the required docs uploaded. The medical appt and consulate interview only will happen if your docs are accepted by the NVC.
  7. i had the interview yesterday, submitted the paper form on the spot and the CO didnt ask anything regarding the 5540.
  8. No, u still have to submit your DS 5540 during the interview, otherwise they can't proceed the interview.
  9. i recieved the email from embassy regarding DS 5540 form filling, it's true that for whoever filed the case before 24 feb 2020, should still submit the form and bring it with you to the interview.
  10. Just leave it blank if you dont hv tax record in US, i just called the embassy yesterday, they said just leave it blank if it's not applicable to you.
  11. my interview is on 2nd Mar, and i just got it today from the embassy that i need to fill up the DS5540 and bring it along to the interview. Hence i suggest you to fill it in anyway as in the end, you still need to complete and bring it to the interview.
  12. Hi all, We have the interview on 2nd Mar, so for the documents needed are just which submitted to the NVC previously? Do we need any updated docs?
  13. Hi guys, is this the passport/parcel collection method letter you suppose to bring to the interview after you register online for the interview as the first step?
  14. Hi guys, as there is no specific guideline for me to register as the first step in the interview preparation. is this the correct version that i need to present to embassy consular for the parcel/passport collection method?
  15. My case is once received the interview appt date letter then changed the status from at NVC to In trasit, and mentioned that the interview date has been provided.
