Let’s hope so! We’re just hoping to go see family as soon as we get my husband’s AP.
Anyone knows if AP can only be used once and only in emergency, or for what reasons? We’d like to see my family in Europe and his in Mexico in May 2021, but I don’t think he’d have his green card by then yet.

AP is valid for multiple uses = What you are going to have to research is the regulations in the country in Europe you want to visit.  He may need a visa for that country.

I also did not know this before, but I found the thread from this portal.

I got CODE 2 which the ASC/CIS Manager said it was an error, so they helped me changed it to a CODE 3 because I had these i485,765 &131 forms submitted for bio.

The code 2 means biometrics for i485, i765 only

Code 3 means biometrics for i485, i765 & i131.....which is what we need, but they've randomly been sending out Code 2.

Except you want to go twice for bio appointment, call ahead for change or seek for help on you appointment day

Summary of codes below:

Thanks for this important info. So what did you do? Did you call and asked a Tier2 officer to change this BEFORE you go for appointment?

Asking for a relative: After biometrics does USCIS update case status of I-485? For I-765 it says card produced and I-131 case approved. But no update for 485. It still says fingerprint fees received.

I think it depends on the type of fingerprints taken - Ours updated to fingerprints taken, then to ready to schedule for interview.  Some people get two appointments for Biometrics - one for code 2 and one for code 3.

Excellent, Shan!  No, we are still waiting to be scheduled for the interview.  On the positive side, my Husband has gotten a job, so he's much happier feeling productive :)  Where did you hear your case was transferred to Hartford?

So after having my work permit approved on Tuesday (December 1st), it came in the mail today. Super excited

Congrats! I filed 6/5, a few days after you. We have the same biometrics date. Hoping to get the approval soon. Did you request SSN with the I-485? If yes, did you received along with EAD?

Our application was received 6/5 too. And still no biometrics appointment or any update online.
How do I check if we requested SSN?
