Hi All ,

I had my interview today at 10am, and got approved for CR1 visa.  Thank you all VJ community members. This forum has helped me a lot. I would have finished the process long ago if I had found this forum early.  I wish you all the best in your journey.

I thought all interviews were suspended?

Please, speak truth. You are not replying to anyone who is asking how you got interview despite consulates are closed.

Hi Sorry, I was at work.  Below is the email I got from the US consulate in Sydney Australia;

U.S. Consulate General, Sydney - Your scheduled interview for May 2020

Consulate General of the United States

LEVEL 10    MLC CENTRE   19-29 MARTIN PLACE    SYDNEY NSW 2000

https://au.usembassy.gov/

Visa Appointment

Tuesday, 12 MAY 2020 at 09:00 am

Case Number:                    SYD………….

Name:

Visa Category:                   CR1 - GHAN

Dear :

We have received your electronic file from the NVC and an expedited appointment has been scheduled for an interview Tuesday, 12th May 2020.

Document Cover Sheet: You must complete and print the required Document Cover Sheet and place it on the top of all the documents you will be submitting.

  1. Gather all your original civil documents, financial documents from the petitioner and any other financial sponsors that you submitted to NVC.
  2. Place the documents in the order as listed on the required attached Document Cover Sheet.
  3. The documents must be out of envelopes, sleeves or folders.
  4. Ensure you have referred to the listed website for further information on how to Prepare for the Interview.

Important information on how to Prepare for the Interview:

You are not required to provide a 3kg Platinum/Express Post envelope. We only require an A4 500g Platinum/Express Post envelope. We will use this to mail the passport containing your issued visa. Keep the tracking number for your records. Please be sure the envelope contains your name and the address where you would like us to mail the visa (within Australia).

 Additional Information:

If you have any further questions, please refer to the FAQ’s page. Due to the volume of inquiries received, if information is available via our FAQ’s page, our office is unable to respond to those inquires. You may email your specific questions. Please ensure you include your name, case number and DOB.

Immigrant visa processing times vary.  There may be unexpected ineligibilities that become apparent only at the time of your interview which require additional time and processing.  For this reason, you should not make any irrevocable arrangements, such as purchasing non-refundable tickets, selling your home, or quitting your job, until after your immigrant visa is actually approved and issued to you.

When communicating with this office, please email support-australia@ustraveldocs.com. You must provide your name and case number exactly as shown in this letter.

Thank you,

Immigrant Visa Unit (AT)
