Oh congrats!

Mine should be on the way

When was the last time you called USCIS about your biometrics appointment?

I actually did the live chat this AM and they told me my biometrics has not been scheduled but obviously that was not correct information

I think it is that.
The only NBC option I can find is for EAD. That one says 28.5-37 months. But I know that's not accurate, since my husband's EAD was approved and his card is being printed. So, they are definitely working on current cases. I'm sure it's a mistake or just one random old case. Once they update it again it will probably change.

About an hour ago my 765 case went from case is being produced to case was approved. Also i131 was approved too. hopefully I will get the combo card soon

OMG! I just checked and you are right.. it said February 23, 2020 this AM! This can't be real... that is absolutely nuts!!!! I really hope that is some kind of a very bad joke or a mistake... I even requested expedited processing based on the fact I am a doctor and got a job offer and the COVID-19 caused health care workers need and I have not received even decision on my expedited request.. and that's been almost a month...

I called USCIS about this. For what it's worth the contact center said they've been getting calls about it and no one in the office seems to have any clue why it would jump so absurdly. She said in her opinion it is likely an error and to keep an eye on it to see if it changes in the next couple days. Obviously she couldn't know for sure, but you'd THINK that if something so drastic legitiamtely happened they would have told their contact people about it. I dunno, here's hoping

That’s awesome! My husband’s I-131 still just says “case received” 😞. But right now we’re most interested in the EAD, I need him to get a social!

I think they 131 and 765 will be approved in similar time. If you did i131. I have had SSN since 2013, F1 OPT CR1 AOS. I needed to get the combo card soon otherwise I will have to take a long sabbatical lol

Someone on the February topic called with a tier2 officer and they confirmed it was indeed correct that the time range has changed drastically.

I did biometrics on Aug14th, I called USCIS this monday to expedite my I765 case. it was approved on Wednesday

Do you mind sharing what your reason was for expediting and what evidence you provided? I’m planning to request an expedite on mine and I think I have good justification, but the lawyer I’m working with seems very hesitant. Thank you!

My take on this is if that is correct, they are going to be rid of I-765 EAD. Seeing as the normal processing time for I-130 and I-485 is now faster according to USCIS processing times, the EAD will become obsolete. They could be trying remove a lot of processing time that goes hand in hand with the I-765. And lets face it - the EAD's only real process is biometrics and a background check - hardly 28 to 37 months of work...but given the volume of I-765 applicants, that is a lot of paper pushing. I am sure there are several thousand USCIS employees working just on I-765's. With the furloughs, that is an 'easy' cut. Not good for us but probably what they are looking at.

Or it could have a political motive at this current time - they could be trying to follow the line "why should someone work when they have not yet been approved to be a resident". Wrong but possible.....

Either way, we know and we have seen that you generally get a different story depending which 'Tier 2" you talk to.

Any idea what this would mean for the Advanced Parole? I was under the impression that the AP came along with the EAD but now the processing times are vastly different. I have my biometrics next week and am really hoping for the AP in particular to be approved soon after so now I’m worried.

Hey, my company told me that I have to take a "sabbatical"(unpaid) if I can't get my EAD on time. I'm currently using my STEM EAD which will expire next month. I had my company write a letter with their statement and send the expedite request to USCIS based on personal financial loss.

Hey everyone, my husband finally got his biometrics done on 8/4. It updated 8/5 to show fingerprints were taken. We havent gotten an update since. Is it normal to not see anything after 15 days of biometric. Iv looked through other posts and it seems like alot of people get the ready to schedule for interview with in a week of the biometric appointment.
