I am working on my degree online so I am keeping busy working on classes.  But I get tired of that after a while.  I am having lots of time to talk to my husband.  But we get tired of talking after a while.  I play with my dog.  But my dog is starting to look at me like "leave me alone I'm sleeping".  Unfortunately I end up going to the kitchen and finding something to eat - and repeat this throughout the day.  And this is starting to show when I step on the scales.

I've managed to make friends in low places, so my key card continues to work for the gym. Clandestine workouts keep the snacking flab away.

I'm getting to the point where i'm starting to hate food because I don't like cooking to much and I'm stuck with just whatever I can buy at the store, which becomes very repetitive especially when many items are sold out, limiting the selection. Thankfully one store here had toilet paper!!

 

I cannot find rubbing alcohol anywhere, not even 50% or less. All the shelves are empty. I think people are hoarding/panic buying because the supply is getting so short, and that makes everyone assume if a store does have it, to buy a ton all at once (be it food or other items). Target had a sign up saying they are limiting customers buying more than 2 of certain things, but nobody was enforcing it at all. So many empty shelves in the cleaning supply aisles as well, it's surreal.

You stay 6ft away.  You can drive to a trail and walk there if your neighborhoods have tiny sidewalks. Or pay better attention to where yiu are.  

Weirdly, in CO, the governor has said to wear face masks when youre out.  Now i have to sew some dang face mask just to go grocery shopping once a week.

In Colorado someon can get fined $1500 per violation so I made sure nothing worked at my gym but for me, the COO and the president.

Read a book

Play a video game (could also be board games)

Walk the dog

Clean up outside 

Go for a drive

Play with the cats

Do some art (coloring or painting)

Home workout

What about dog parks and dogs possibly infecting one another? We know cats and tigers can get the virus and pass it on to each other (there is possible human to animal transmission with the tiger case, as it was at a zoo). Should dog owners avoid dog parks, because dogs basically have no concept of social distancing or hygiene...I told my mom she should probably avoid the dog park until further notice because it's possible dogs can infect each other and even animal to human transmission is an unknown for now. And dogs are just....well, let's just say if there's fecal/oral transmission involved, dogs are known to lick certain things that would be ideal for such transmission... 🤢

It cannot be passed form animals to ppl. Animals have their own version it is not the same. Although if someone is coughing/sneezing all over your pet then you can get it that way.

I'm a homebody to begin with so nothing really changed for me. I already homeschool. The Hillbilly is working form home so that changed and trying to keep my monsters quiet is a challenge. 

I've been working slowly at my kitchen. I've repainted it. Peel, filled and sanded the top cabinet doors. Today I primed them and maybe if it's not raining I'll paint them. I had all the supplies before social distancing was a thing. 

I've got a Walmart order waiting for me to hit submit. Seems more are doing it now because I can't get today or tomorrow pick up.

 

The kids do miss going to the Library for our homeschool group. I did have the Tornado add one of her friends on messenger kids so they can talk and play games on the switch together. That helps but man they are loud even then.

I agree dog parks are a no unless you stay on a leash. Not because pets can spread this, but because most owners cant train their pets. Pets can get coronaviruses but they cant spread it to humans. It's not zoonotic like that.

 

Right now the free dog park close to me is closed and the pay to use one is open but i dont go there because my dog's recall isnt great and it's huge.

I've been spending time reading trashy romance novels, writing (I try to write at least 400 words a day), keeping the home tidy, doing yoga and going out for walks in the neighborhood (with my mask on now). Also plenty of Facetiming/Google Hangouts videocalls with family and friends. And keeping morale up at home too -- we're starting wedding planning even though I'm not 100% sure that the date we chose in October is even going to be workable. But having something to work towards together is a way of staying positive.

I'm kind of surprized that the dog parks are open here, considering I'm in a shelter-in-place state. Or maybe they aren't open but people are going anyway?

Since it's a zoo, presumably the tiger isn't eating wild animals? People are saying one of the zookeepers may have spread the virus to the tiger? In that case, it would be zoonotic: "The 4-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia — and six other tigers and lions that have also fallen ill — are believed to have been infected by a zoo employee who wasn't yet showing symptoms, the zoo said."

I think with the tigers we will have to wait to see. They have said over and over that it's not the same strain as ppl. Who knows now.
