Hi, I’ve looked at the link above and don’t see my field office on there but when I look it up it doesn’t seem to be open either. Also I believe biometrics are handled by Application Support Centers all of which are closed. Can a field office also be an App support Center?

The application support center usually only does Biometrics and other fingerprinting services. Field Offices are for interviews (marriage/green card, etc).

Nothing received yet for us. We had one scheduled just before they stopped taking face to face and then had to reschedule, which they did during the closures. Waiting for them to reschedule again now. Hopefully we'll get a letter this week but I expect it can take up to two weeks to receive an appointment letter. Given that they confirmed they were opening on Wednesday/Thursday I'd expect we receive a new letter by Jun 11th.

We have similar timeline. No new appointment letter or update received :(

We're going to swing by the local office in Nashville today with our original appointment letter and see if we can get a walk-in appointment.

It's worth a try.

Good luck. We were thinking of doing the same but we're not even sure if the Application Support Center is open. Let us know how you get on!

Got RFE today and don’t understand why. We filed in February before the implementation of the rule change and got NOA1, check cashed, text notifications, etc. The RFE wants an updated I-485 and Declaration of Self Sufficiency. Why? Does this mean I have to send a brand new I-485? They accepted the previous versions of the forms and they were in process, and we were waiting for the fingerprinting appointment. I don’t get it. They also spelled my wife’s name wrong in the RFE,  USCIS

The Application Support Centers do the biometrics and they're still closed everywhere 😔 Sigh

Unfortunately, that's what I expected. I checked various immigration-related forums and never heard about they allow walk-in services after re-opening their offices. :(

And, it's frustrating to accept it, but, now, I don't believe ASCs will even open before July. The basis of my reasoning is, USCIS, in general, send an appointment letter two weeks prior to their intended schedule, and no one hasn't got the letter. FOs are even opened to the public on June 4th, but, who gets appointment notice from USCIS? Some are desperately waiting for the interview letter as well, but I only heard only a single case of it.

+ I know it won't happen, but I'm going to stop by ASC next week, which is the day they are supposed to be reopened to the public.

I don't think any of February filers had their interviews scheduled. It usually takes longer than that. If you look at January thread you will see that they are getting their EADs approved only now. So I'm afraid the interview stage is still a long way ahead for us.

That's annoying. I saw a post somewhere on here that suggested they weren't going to open until the 22nd. I guess nothing more to do than keep waiting.

You may ask the wrong person but I saw one case in late May: https://twitter.com/nimerlaw1/status/1266067992007360512

I won't count if it's from a random person.

I don't believe they allow walk-in but will stop by there next week anyway... there's nothing to lose it.... and likely to drink a bottle of whiskey even in the morning time...

I don't believe the news is true.

The simple thing we can figure it out is, are there any new AOS interview waived case in there? and, as you might know, there exist even after June 4th.
