I expected an approval after a year but I was surprised when I got an email from NVC. Hoping you also get an approval soon.

I don't. But, I submitted it anyway, stating that we are missing an approval notice for the case.

Got it. Hopefully we get an update soon.

Hi, can someone please share a screenshot of what an "updated" or "approved" case looks like?

Also, someone mentioned a ban on sponsoring parents this year - can anyone post a link to where this is confirmed and if so, how are folks on here having their cases approved? I submitted 2 online in late December and received a receipt, that's it so far!

I received an email From NVC and a mail for the approval notice from USCIS, but in the USCIS website it stated that the case is closed. I guess Potomac center has really the shortest period of case processing, still waiting for my Father’s Case approval though.

Because each I 130 is a separate petition .. not tied or connected to the other .. they are processed and assessed individually.

Right.. it’s not connected if it has the same petitioner or filed at the same time.

Wow. I'm reading a lot of approvals on our thread. :)

I'm still waiting for mine. It's in Nebraska when I received the NOA1.

My parents date changed twice but it says still in process. I hope sooner it will be an approval. :)

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

I was on a K-1 Visa on 2014.

My wife filed for her parents in December 2019. Her father just got approved this morning and NVC sent her the welcome email this evening. I was shocked at how quick it was. Original Service center was Nebraska. Approval letter was sent out by Potomac. So I guess it was transferred without our knowledge. No updates on the Mother yet.

Have you got the approval for mother by now ? If not yet , will you be submitting info/docs to NVC right away for your Dad  or  otherwise wait for your Mother's approval and then submit info/docs for both together ?

I am a little confused. The people who are getting i130 approvals, did they apply in 2020 :o?

I thought it took at least a year.
I applied for my dad’s i130 on Dec 12th, 2019. The case went to Nebraska SC, but haven’t heard a thing about his case. I was not even checking cause we thought it would at least take a year, but now that you all are hearing back I am starting to panic. Why haven’t we heard back anything. Should I call USCIS? :(
