Mine was scheduled for April 14th and I got a notice that it will be re-scheduled.

I know we’re all anxious to get this process wrapped up, but this is for the best.  We will get through it, but right now everyone’s safety is (and should) be of paramount concern.

Stay safe everyone! 💙

Mine is scheduled on April 09th in Columbus,  I only received  the generic office closures email. Ohio is under shelter in place order until April 6th. so i think they might reschedule mine.  Maybe they will upload a notice regarding re-scheduling in the myuscis account?

On March 18, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services temporarily suspended in-person services at its field offices, asylum offices, and Application Support Centers (ASCs) to help slow the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

USCIS offices will reopen on April 7 unless the public closures are extended further. Employees in these offices are continuing to perform mission-essential services that do not require face-to-face contact with the public.

just receive this even my Interview is on April 28th.

Not here. We got standard letters saying that our appointments wer being rescheduled and we would receive another letter when they had been. I am not holding my breath, given how long the covid-19 lockdown is going to be. We all just have to be patient, and focus on the most important things... and wash our hands properly.

Hi everyone,
I'm a little confused about the name change process. After getting married I took my husband's last name and now all my documents (eg. Green card, driving license, SSN) is under my husband's last name... I just want to change my last name like how it used to be before I got married, simply I'm reverting back to my maiden name. Is it going to be a legal name change? Do I need to go to a judicial oath ceremony  where my name change will be approved by a judge with a court order? Hope I can find some help here, thank you in advance for your time reading this.

It means that the employees will continue to work on critical cases/applications but not interact with the public such as in-person interviews, biometric appointments, oaths, etc.

Again please correct me if I’m wrong but you either should’ve put your name change request in your N400 application (I believe there is a spot for that on the form), OR you can request a petition for name change when you go for your interview. But I’m not 100% sure about this. You should do a little research. This forum provides lots of good information. Use the search option!
