Ok now we should see new interviews scheduled. Will there be new excuse to postpone scheduling before elections????

They don't even need an excuse. Have you read the article?

"In a statement, Joseph Edlow, acting head of USCIS, confirmed the decision, but said “averting this furlough comes at a severe operational cost that will increase backlogs and wait times across the board, with no guarantee we can avoid future furloughs.”"

"Without “congressional action,” these cost-cutting measures will result in issues, like increased case-processing times and possible longer wait periods for those seeking to become US citizens, he wrote."

Alright, just came back from the interview. Don't remember the questions much, but they were simple. Failed only one question from 8 that he asked me. It was about the amount of years we elect representatives for. Correct answer is 2, but I replied 6 first time, and 8 on the second time. But it's my bad.
Got approved in the end and they scheduled my oath ceremony right there. It's going to be 17th of September! So, only 3 weeks away!

@Rick & Apple if you could, please update the spreadsheet for me. Thank you!

Please let us know when you receive your passport.  It will be interesting to know how long that process is taking now.  Again, congratulations on becoming a US citizen and being done with USCIS.

Congratulations to all the interview and oath schedulings, and especially to the newest U.S. Citizens! Please use your right to vote this year, I don't recall an election where the importance is as high as this time around.

I still haven't heard anything from my ultra-backlogged field office and am slightly frustrated. But I'm happy for everyone who's case is moving!
