I have pd 21 Oct so 4 days away to fill an out of processing time request, using case tracker app i can tell there are at least other 150 unapproved applications with same or close Pd.

Going with speed they are doing in past months i see as pretty tragic..

Hello,

I just applied on 06/27/2020 and got my NOA1 on 06/30/2020.

I was happy when I got Potomac because it was one of the fastest centers (from what Is saw here on VJ) but now it seems like they slowed down. I was hoping I would get an approval by the end of the year or January of next year at the latest :(

My file hasn't been touched since June 30th when they sent me the NOA1 online, is that a good or bad sign?

Forgive me but I'm new to all of this ....

  • 2 weeks later...

I have also not received any update on my NOA2, the last update I received was for my NOA1 which we received December the  19th via email.

I have sent an out of time processing request  and it seems to have gone through this time.

After you performed the "outside normal processing time" procedure, did USCIS respond to you?

Processing times for I-130 petitions at Potomac went up to 10-12.5 months

It sounds really sad, although I don’t know how long they will respond to us even if they request outside normal processing time to USCIS and how they will help our I-130 application, but it seems that that is the only thing we can do thing.

This is the email I received. It will take a few weeks before I get a response. I have noticed the processing time has jumped but this happened a month ago also, then a few weeks later the times were updated again to November 2019 dates so just keep checking the processing times.

I have tried to do a case enquiry before and it did not work as my case was still in the processing timeframe. So no I didn't just put in a random date , somehow it worked and that's the email i received back from the site.

Hi guys! Monthly update time for July 2020!

For the entirety of July, 71 VJ member petitions have been approved by the USCIS across all the centers (by timeline).

Approximately 3 cases a day (work day) by the organization as a whole.

Of those 71 petitions approved, 16 of them were at Potomac - less than 1 petition a day.

The first petition of the month was approved on the 2nd of July.

The latest NOA1 approved this month was January 27th of 2020 (no one knows why they seem to be working backwards from April 2020 faster than they work forwards from September 2019). The latest NOA1 approved without expedite or I-129f or whatever other weird thing they have going on now was October 29, 2019.

The current estimated range for application completion on the USCIS website is between 10 - 12.5 months from your PD. If you filed before July 21st, and you still have not received any notifications about your case, you should call USCIS and find out what is going on. This is especially true given the sudden leap backward in processing times experienced last month. Get any issues resolved as quickly as possible. Same goes for RFEs. If you haven't received a response to your RFE within 60 days, you should be contacting them.

We are a small center (only 1,972 petitions recorded) and right now our daily rate of approvals is pretty slow. Keep in mind, some filers do not have their timelines set up and so their data is not contributed to the pool, so it may be even more effective than my numbers show here. Please encourage any and all Potomac filers in the forums to go ahead and set them up so we can start to get more accurate readings on our timelines.

Congratulations to all of you who were approved this month! We hope things continue to go favorably for our fellow filers and that many more will receive good news over the next month!

Don't forget! I have created a tool for public use that will allow Potomac Filers to get a visual aid for where Potomac  Center seems to be at in the approval process. I have shared it on FB and I will share it with you all as well. I made a very basic data tracker to help us. You just fill out the next row in the spreadsheet and it will place your case in a bubble chart. When you get an RFE or an approval, you simply change your status in the spreadsheet next to the chart and it will change the color of the bubble. I've also added the option for someone to note that they are a transfer from another center to Potomac. That way, everyone will be able to tell at a glance where Potomac Center is at in approvals. Check it out and let me know what you think! I am open to suggestions for improvements if it is within my limited coding capabilities. Everyone is encouraged to enter their information, even if you have already received your approval so we have a good idea of where everything is at. Thanks! Please let me know if you guys need any help or if you are having difficulties using the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oZ10PLJbVaEuTUHz6SHlnYQGhIP9inMrsC4CgltwEXc/edit?usp=sharing
