Hi everyone! I sent my petition on 11/20, it was received on 11/21. My card was charged on 11/25 and I received a text on 11/26, no email. I’m still waiting on hard copy of NOA1

Congrats and welcome!

Our petition packet was mailed on 11/14 to Dallas, TX, got a text confirmation saying it was received on 11/18, notice date on 11/22,  just got the hard copy of the NOA1 today 11/29 from California! 🥳
While I felt like I was going to be doing the packet forever, it feels so good to be making progress, even if it’s just small steps.

Probably a stupid question, but do I need to list that my case was transferred on my timeline since it’s in California now?

Good luck everyone!

Congrats!

My check has yet to be cashed though, which I find odd. I was checking my bank often so I was surprised to get the notification before my $$ was taken

Don't worry our beloved leader will take his pound of flesh. Money should be gone soon.

Sent in my package on Nov 11th to USCIS Dallas, TX.
USCIS received my package on Nov 14th.
Got a text message saying your case was received on Nov20th.

Question:
How long does it take after NOA2?

Looks like we were received on the same day! Honestly it's a bit relieving to see I'm not the only one in the group with a chinese fiance!🤣 Hope we're able to help eachother  and others with any country specific issues!

Actually, it would be a good idea if you went back to the beginning and read the thread forward so you would see the questions that were asked and the answers given. Good luck with your journey.

BTW, their is a sub-forum for those who are processing in china that would be helpful to you.

For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and for you to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. This is a place to ask questions and to share experiences. All are here to learn together. Good luck because this is a long process currently running 5-6 months from filing date for your NOA2 approval.

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/K1_Process_V11.pdf

Also, since your application will go through a number of background checks this is a primer on what goes on with the background process.

I know it really sucks, but the best way to get through this is to lower your expectations and try not to compare your timeline to anyone else's. Don't forget that the people here on Visa Journey represent a tiny percentage of all the petitions the CSC has to work through! When someone gets to your file you'll hear from them. Stay busy, talk a lot with your fiancé about non-visa stuff, don't forget to hang out with your friends, take up a new hobby, go to a sporting event, and your time will come! Good luck

Explanation why is it taking so long.
