Nice to see SCOTUS allow the Feds to do what is really one of the few things that they are supposed to do. It was a foregone conclusion and the only surprise was some not seeing this.

Very interesting, I have heard about this in the morning, and I suppose the US mainstream media would rather not talk about a Trump win.  When I did hear it reported, it was amazing of the spin that was put on it that essentially said the "open borders" fight is still going on.

Only with respect to the Guatemalans and those that enter Mexico directly from their home country.  Those from Nicaragua, or El Salvador would have passed through Guatemala prior to entering Mexico.  However, in the ruling it says that the US will honor asylum requests for those that are rejected asylum by another country, so couldn't Mexico simply issue anyone crossing their Southern Border asylum rejection notices and allow them to continue on their journey?

They would disregard the results of the Mexican system? Sounds Racist and anyway takes Months/Years to  go through the Asylum process.

Maybe..but it adds a bottle neck which will decrease the flow to the US, imo. In addition, if Mexico rejects an asylum seeker's request, they would have to justify why that person doesn't qualify for asylum in Mexico (example: The person is actually an economic migrant, not fleeing torture, etc.).  Then the US can also reject the migrant for the same reason.....it could cut the processing time......

just my thoughts.......
