Timeline

Basically just got done with school,am self Employed...generally there is nothing big am doing here want to leave with my man ...He wants it as well but for him he thinks applying for 2 visas  at the same time will raise flags or one will be denied or the process will be longer than expected

@Jorgedig Basically just got done with school ,am Self Employed...Generally there is nothing big am doing here ,just want to live with my man..he always it as well cz it’s him who talks about it a lot ...the for him he thinks applying for 2 visas at the same time will raise flags or One /all will be denied or they will take along time than Expected...yet it’s not the case...So how should I talk to him about the issue ?

If he does not want to file 2 at a time. What are you going to talk to him about? That is the decision that he made. He asked u earlier and u said no, so now u have to wait. I agree with the financial support needed in filing for someone. Filing one at a time makes good sense.

@Daphne K thanks for Explaining to me now I understand...I didn’t know all that ...it’s not about my wants my dear ...it’s about seeking Advice according to what I want ...I live in Uganda never been in the US be4 how would I have known all that without someone Explaining to me ?

You would have known all that if you would have looked up information about the K1 and did some very basic research before.. I don’t understand how you could have talked about it “a lot” with your BF and have no idea about the process and the enormous costs and responsibilities that come with it. 

Your question was very specific, not a general question like “where can I find information about the K1 visa”. 

If you really are as uninformed about the process as you claim to be, I suggest that you and your BF both start educating yourselves about the process. You can find all the processes under the ‘guides’ tab at the top of the page. It will be an eye opener I hope!

June 13, 2018 Mary receives Mexican Residency Card

June 15, 2018  I-130 DCF Appointment in Juarez  -  June 18, 2018  Approval E-Mail

August 2, 2018 Case Complete At Consulate

September 25, 2018 Interview in CDJ and Approved!

October 7, 2018 In the USA

October 27, 2018 Green Card received 

October 29, 2018 Applied for Social Security Card - November 5, 2018 Social Security Card received

November 6th, 2018 State ID Card Received, Applied for Global Entry - Feb 8,2019 Approved.

July 14, 2020 Removal of Conditions submitted by mail  July 12, 2021 Biometrics Completed

August 6, 2021 N-400 submitted by mail

September 7, 2021 I-751 Interview, Sept 8 Approved and Card Being Produced

October 21, 2021 N-400 Biometrics Completed  

November 30,2021  Interview, Approval and Oath

December 10, 2021 US Passport Issued

August 12, 2022 PHL Dual Nationality Re-established & Passport Approved 

April 6,2023 Legally Separated - Oh well

Op has said several times that he's a citizen.  Plus he's petitioning for his mother, and only a citizen can do that.

@Daphne K I don’t see the reason why you should be rude ...if you can read through my lines I don’t remember where I asked about the k1 Visa cz I know ...what I asked about was if it’s possible to file 2 visas at the same  and the requirements ok ...so I don’t really know where your getting your point of view ,....Thanks  for your concern
