In Transit.

It also says that my interview date has been scheduled by the NVC

Do i I call them to find out what date? Or do I just wait on the embassy to send me an email?

Ignore that as it is a glitch in the system and meant only for CR-1 visas and you are after a K-1. So seek out your country's P3 or wait till it arrives and determine the "what next" answer.

Got an e-mail from NVC - I made the august 20th ship date.

NOA2: 07/18/19

Date NVC received: Unknown

Case # assigned: 8/07/19 (based on PDF chart)

Ship date: 8/20/19

NVC had e-mailed me on 8/13/19 to tell me they had gotten my case.  I guess their response was pretty late, as I had already been assigned a case number at that point.

Perfect!
I just want to make sure that the number assigned by NVC corresponds to k1 and k2 with a sequence of 01 and 02. Even mine does not show anything. I just hope that when I arrive at the embassy you can see my K2

Your not trusting the process. Just let it unfold before you and you will see all the pieces will fall into place. Your K-2 mommy will be with you and available for the interview.

I'm in transit too!  Who hoo!! :)

My lawyer said to wait until we have the interview date before completing the DS-160.  Are you saying it needs to be completed before we can schedule the appointment?

I see comments about starting it once we have the case number so I'm ok doing that but I want to make sure we can schedule the appointment before finishing the DS-160.

Your lawyer sucks! The DS-160 is completed once you have the case number because it ask for when completing the form. Then once that is done you then get a copy of your P3 and see what the embassy's procedures are for setting the appointment and medical exam. Don't get ahead of yourself or it will end badly for you.

I just received the letter from NVC to the email. But my name has a typo. Call NVC and they tell me they can't do anything anymore, but I call the embassy and they say they don't have access to that. What can I do now?

Me too. Does this mean that we can actually schedule the interview because if I follow the steps that’s what it says. We already did the DS160 but it wouldn’t let us schedule the interview it said something about “this case is not ready to schedule and interview “ so I’m wondering if we can go ahead and do so now.

Today is a big day for some as your case file may ship out to your embassy. Check CEAC for updated progress and look for "in transit"!! If that shows you are on your way. Shipments are throughout today and tomorrow so don't get discourage if your record at CEAC has not changed over to "in transit” Also, for those who want to have a little fun in tracking your shipment see the DHL hack on the first page of this thread NUMBER 19 for instructions. NOTE: The DHL hack information will not be available till Wednesday as the DHL and NVC computers must sync with each other to produce the outcome.

You have three stages 1) transit - shipment is in the air or soon will be, 2) received - physical case file is at the Embassy and 3) ready - your case is ready to schedule and complete your interview.  These will be your current state or status to your case file once you have received the case number. Once your record is set to "ready" you are ready to proceed in processing your next steps as listed in your P3 for your embassy.  I have most P3 if you hit me up with a request, I will post back the links.

Please don't screenshot and post your CEAC status as it just clutters up the thread. We all know what it looks like. Let us know your progress as we want to celebrate with you. Good luck.

yahoooooooooo!

Mistakes like yours is nothing to worry about. Your name spelled correctly on your documents at the interview.  We see this happened before and the couple had no problems.  There is no need to contact someone or be :girlwerewolf2xn:

As it states in the PDF You can't schedule your interview till your case is set to ready from your embassy. So NO you can't schedule your interview.

@Greenbaum Just making sure we are not missing anything on DS-160.  I saw it asked for the receipt/petition number which is the WAC*****.  I don't see where they ask for the case number?

That's what I was thinking, that it might ask it after.  Thanks for clarifying. I didn't want to miss anything if at all possible :)
