It is an estimate on when you may receive No2

It is so cool that K-1 process started to move much quicker since last spring. Currently NOA1 to NOA2 time averages 3 months. Good luck to all of us in this journey! ☀️🌈:star:

I posted previously about my application. It did get returned due to issues with the credit card form :(. On a positive note, it was returned quick. Application found sitting in mailbox a week after originally being sent to USCIS.

However we bounced back and decided to resubmit with a cashier's check. My fiancé freaked out afterwards though when he realised he accidentally signed the back of it just after FedEx took the package!!! We expected the worse. There is not much info on the forums about what happens if a check is accidentally signed on the back. One past thread I found said the package is definitely coming back so I was expecting that too and I felt a little down about it. I've decided to come back to write a post to help someone who has this issue in the future.

Despite the cashier's check being signed on the back mistakenly, we received our NOA1 text msg!

(form delivered on Mon 26th Aug, NOA1 Thurs 29th Aug)

So relieved and so happy :) as August comes to a close, congratulations to everyone with NOA1s and wishing all the best to those still waiting for their NOA1.

Uggggg, I'm beginning to get a impatient waiting for NOA2. Has anyone heard anything who's filed in July -k1??

We have the same dates for timeline.

It's a bit early for an NOA2, however, it's possible.

Right now the 1st & 2nd week of June are getting their NOA2's.

Average is 2 1/2 - 3 months til NOA2.

So ours could be the end of September, early October.

I'm hoping the pace speeds up too. Lol

Lessons to be learned.

1. Slow down

2. Check your paperwork against a checklist

3. Work together with your partner to recheck that the forms are complete and accurate.

4. Check that where you are mailing your documents to, and they match the carrier drop off requirements.

5. Send the package.

Why are you impatient? Did USCIS personally give you a hard date that they would be complete with your personal I-129f application?

I learned a lesson a long time ago and I'll pass it a long and that is "He who has the gold gets to make the rules" and you don't have the gold so you're without merit. They'd only promised you three items. 1) That they'd adjudicate your case to the end using their rules 2) That they would give you a YES or NO answer and 3) They would do it on THEIR timetable and not yours.

Yes, we are on the same timeline! Thank you for your response, the information really puts things into perspective for me and I hope that the remaining time for us waiting moves along.

Wishing you both the best!

It’s best not to worry about it. Its out of your hands so don’t drive yourself crazy. I think it’s important to remember everyone on this specific thread is literally, at the most (as of today), only 2 months into the whole waiting process. So just relax a bit. Get familiar with the different threads on VJ so you can learn as much as you can with this entire process. This will help better prepare yourself for the k1 visa as a whole.

Yes, we should not worry about things which are out of our control. Better concentrate on what we can do - learn the process (it's pretty long and NOA1 is only the beginning of it) and get prepared for it to make everything as smooth as possible.

Here is some useful for all of us information (if someone is not aware of it):

Let's share such useful for all of us information here and good luck to everyone! ☀️
