you got the call from USCIS ? did they reschedule to other date. I was checking my online status nothing has been reschedule

I got a call from an immigration officer. Nothing is showing online yet. Must have been a genuine call as I hadn't told anyone the actual time of the interview (and only a couple of people know the date) and the number shows as the Newark field office if I google it. They didnt know when it would be rescheduled to, sounded like a last minute decision.

Tier II officers usually make those kinds of calls. They get straight to the point after they verify you are the applicant....they are abrupt and in a hurry.

New Jersey resident here.

Filed June 11 2019 online under 5 year rule.

Interview scheduled 5th March 2020.

Interview successfully cleared and oath done same day

Which office were you in? Did you know in advance that the oath would be done the same day?

I was at the Newark office. Newark typically has oath the same day (depending on your interview time).  I think they did every 2 hours or so.  9:30 am, then 11:30 am and so on.

My interview was at 9:15 am, so i couldn't get to the 9:30 am oath , was taken in the 11:30 am oath.

Good to know, although I'm now even more frustrated that my interview yesterday was cancelled!

Hope everyone is doing all right! Congrats to all the passings! And good luck for the ones that are going to interview.

I passed my interview two weeks ago and my oath ceremony will be next month.

My Oath letter states to bring all card issued by uscis. Did you all bring your old cards? If not, were you asked for them? Or they will just keep current green card?

Congratulations!

I did not bring my old / expired Green Card to the ceremony and wasn't asked for it. They just collected the current one at the official check in. Honestly, I totally forgot I still had the old one here anyways, haha!

Hope everyone is safe!   And praying for the coronavirus to be over 🙏

Just a quick update on my case.

Oath ceremony was scheduled for April 1. I will be receiving the cancellation letter anytime soon (I checked my status online and oath ceremony has been cancelled).  The letter says they will be sending a rescheduled date. 😪. Hope it won’t be that long 🙏.

They said the USCIS offices will be closed to public until at least May 3rd. At least you're half way there. You'll get your citizenship soon. I, on the other hand, don't even know what to expect now. Everything will be so backlogged. I've been waiting for my interview to get scheduled, but now Idk...
