You're lucky it's in the morning - less chance of waiting hours for the interview...

I don't thank the New York field office (Manhattan/Bronx residents) has same day oath. It seems that some people get the oath letter handed to them on the day of the interview (if approved) but that's usually people who are interviewed before a certain time (e.g. maybe 1-2pm). My interview although scheduled for 1pm didn't happen until about 4pm. So I didn't get the oath letter. My case was approved 2/25 and I am waiting for the oath letter info. I know there is a ceremony 3/13 but I probably won't get scheduled for that one. I know two other people (Manhattan/Bronx) who had their interviews in early January (and were approved) and the wait from interview to oath day was almost 6 weeks.

Thank you for your response and I hope I get approved same day so I can get the oath letter handed to me. I will keep studying, keep up in prayer and see what happens. All the best as you wait your oath letter.

Congrats!!! Your journey is over!

my interview is next Thursday, could you please share some info...

What additional documents did you bring to your interview?

What were you asked at interview?

were your civic questions hard?

I did NOT bring any document at all with me other than my green card, drivers license and foreign passport. I believe they use the documents you uploaded online when you originally applied. At least in my experience so no additional document was requested. My civic questions were kinda hard, I was asked 8 and got 6 right.

Who wrote the Declaration of Independence - Pass

Who is the commander in chief of the military - Pass

What is Benjamin Franklin famous for - failed

were your civic questions hard?

Here are the actual questions I was asked in their order:

Verify your full name, any previous names used, DOB, why my birth certificate was registered late, what’s my height, phone number, current physical address, time lived at current residence, current and previous employers and employment status, date of last trip outside the US and purpose, current marital status, how many marriages have I and my ex spouse been in, did you live together with your spouse when I was married, do I have any children anywhere in the world. Then followed by the Yes/No questions on the N400 application. It was super easy and my officer was very kind and laidback. That was it and it lasted 21minutes.

1: There is no strict requirement that you must have the taxes filed for year 2019 since there is still time to file them.

2: It would be a good idea to have those dates written out beforehand since (my guess) they might want to update this information in their "systems".

It's officially official! My Visa Journey ended today. Attended the Oath ceremony at the Phoenix field office.  70 applicants from 32 countries. The ceremony was very nice, not as stiff and formal as I've expected. 3 volunteers came on stage to tell us their personal visa story and one woman from Argentina almost had everyone in tears, her story was so moving and she was very grateful to finally have gained her citizenship after about 35 years...and on her birthday on top of that!

We could not have done it without this amazing forum. We never needed a lawyer, followed the advice on here to a t and had no issues at all.

Thank you to everybody on here who made this possible and best of luck to those who are still waiting ❤

My interview is scheduled for March 5th at Chatsworth office.

For those who've had interviews recently, were people wearing masks due to the coronavirus?

No masks at the interview or oath ceremony here in Phoenix.

Hello guys! Congrats to all the passings!

As the days are getting closer I’m getting more nervous.

I was reviewing my application (printed copy) and I notice on the questions for my marital history on question were it says “how many times have you been married” it shows 1 for me and when the question goes to my spouse it shows 0 for him.

This is my first marriage and same for my husband.

I wonder if the questions were filled automatically from the online questions.

I know my husband and I reviewed the questions several times  before clicking submit so we won’t have any discrepancies.

Should I bring it up to the immigration officer during interview?
