My wife, a US citizen has stage 4 cancer and would like to bring her sister here from the Philippines to help take care of her. Is it possible? Thanks

She can apply for a tourist visa to visit.

She cannot be a caretaker. That's work. She can emotionally support her and do normal tourist / visit activities.

You do know that health insurance and healthcare in the US for cancer amount to astronomical costs? Your sister-in-law can visit, but she can't stay permanently and her health will get to a point where she needs professionals, not just her sister or a family member taking care of her.

My reading is that it’s the wife , the USC , who has cancer ... not the sister who is trying to come visit

Yikes I need more sleep. In any case, the sister can't stay. "Taking care of OP's wife" could be seen as unauthorized work.

Yes .. that’s why it’s been stated she can visit, provide emotional support and do touristy things ... if she can get a visa  😬

On a tourist Visa - no. 

 

On a family-sibling Visa - it takes about 14 years.

Humanitarian Parole is pretty much a hail mary option. It is an option nonetheless.

Note that generally one should show that they have exhausted all other legal options first.

F4 from PH is about 22 years wait right now, with 25-30+ years being likely for a new applicant.
