No.  You can only sponsor a fiancee if you are a citizen.

As a LPR, you *can* sponsor a spouse...but like members said earlier, after she visits to US and marries you, she must return and live in her home country while going through the process.  She cannot reside with you in the States until it's approved.

I-539 extension? High odds that would be denied, IMO. The F2A process takes about 2 years. She must leave the US before the I-94 expires. As a tourist, she should spend more time outside the US

You can't "change" her visa from tourist to spouse.  She cannot cross the border with intent to stay and adjust status from within the USA, your new wife will have to leave the US after marriage

Sounds like visa shopping. . . She can't hold both at the same time.  Some exchange visitors with J-1 visas are subject to a two-year home-country physical presence requirement.

Bear in mind if she accumulates more than 6 months of presence in the US per year she will become of interest to the IRS.

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

She is outside US. But she has J1 visa she can travel to and from US. J1 visa is student visa.

She can (try) enter on it (and leave when her studies are done). If they suspect her of wanting to AOS they may deny her entry at the border.

She can come on the existing J-1. She must pass through inspection as always.

 

She just cannot come with intent to AOS. She needs to complete the process for the immigrant visa abroad.
