Technically a spousal visa is family based.  I do see that his profile says F-1 but I figured the OP could answer for himself.

Depending on how you became an LPR you may have to wait even longer to petition your girlfriend.

Family-based, as in not through marriage to a USC where the 5-year wait applies.

Can she renew her visa before expiry to again tourist or visit visa so that she can travel and stay in US for 6 months till spouse visa process completed

thanks

All posters on this thread are saying something you probably don't want to hear.  As a GC holder, your marriage to a foreign national will NOT result in your future spouse staying in the USA through any immigration petition process.  The spouse may try to stay in the USA, but successful immigration will not happen and deportation and ban will result.

If you really want to marry this person and live together in the USA, marry her in the USA so you can file your I-130 F2A visa petition asap and start the roughly 26 month clock for spouse's visa issuance, and then she must leave the USA without any visa overstay.  No exceptions.

If you want a faster option as a GC holder, don't marry now, join the US military, become a US citizen quickly, then file a K-visa petition and bring your fiance to the USA or US base and get married.  That will would happen much faster than the F2A visa 26 month clock after marriage option.  Benefits are you become a US citizen and your naturalization fees get waived.

In all cases, your future spouse must leave the USA if you want your future spouse to live with you someday in the USA .

If she is in the US already she was given a period to stay on entry .  It isn't until the visa expires ( to be here now would make December of this year a unlikely I94 date )   Please check how long her stay was permitted for. IF she overstayed that she will have trouble visiting you in the years you have to wait for your spousal visa to process.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

At least 6 months or more. She needs to stay in her country longer than in the US.

There's no set limit...good rule of thumb is to spend more time out of the year in your home country than the US, as mentioned above.

Keep in mind that even with a valid tourist visa, there is no guarantee of entry into the US...and with a pending i-130 there is also immigrant intent shown, so she may need to convince CBP that she intends to return to her home country at the end of any visits when crossing the border.

If she tries to re-enter the US shortly after leaving, she could be denied re-entry. You guys need to be aware of that.

Lot's of folks on this website spend 1 or 2, and in some cases longer, away from their spouse while awaiting visa processing overseas. That's just how it is. The time apart is the same for all, and no different for a pakistani national.

You would need to be a US citizen before you can even start the K-1 (fiancee visa) process.

The K-1 visa process is taking only a few months less than the spousal visa process. The 2-3 months you heard of has not been accurate for a couple years now. There have been short periods where ~3 months start to finish was possible, but expect 8+ months on the low side now.

There's virtually no way the fiancee visa process would be faster even if you could apply for naturalization today.

Correct

You cannot sponsor a fiance visa as an LPR.  That privilege is reserved only for US citizens.

You need to understand visas/immigration takes time. Don't look for ways to get her into the US "fast" when everyone here has told you that you can't.
