K1 VISA Interview pending scheduling indefinitely

We completed every portion of trying to schedule an interview for a Russian K1 visa but when we got to the end, we received this annoying message to just wait around now until they contact to schedule it. I did this on 04/30/19 and still no word. When I did this a few years ago it was so easy to schedule your appointment now it’s like I am scheduling an appointment to meet with Putin...ridiculous. They take your money and nothing. Any suggestions?

Damn... how are you going to go through AoS and ROC with that little patience?

You only waited 3 WORK DAYS so far. People wait months for appointment. No suggestion. You have to wait. There are others in line in front of you.

You did this a few years ago?

The submission was 04/30/19, back in 2016 for Ukraine when I went through this before you could immediately schedule and choose the date you wanted. I think it’s (edited) that you have a pay a fee for schedule that does exist, just another way to con people out of their hard working money. The Mueller Investigation is over- nomcollusion! So open up the other (edited) embassies already Putin and Trump! And to the inconsiderate person who told me to be more patient, you have no idea what I have personally been through in the past so don’t demean me like a child. I am fully aware of the K1 process as I have a already been approved in the past with another fiancée.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do except wait. And unless you're very lucky (which we were, but most recent Russian-American couples were not), there won't be any open interview dates right away once your fiancée is able to schedule an interview, and your fiancée will probably need to join one of the WhatsApp groups that monitor interview availability so she can jump on an open interview slot as soon as it appears. Sometimes there will be no K-1 interviews for a month (most recently in March, also was the case in December). That's just how things are in Moscow these days.

Politics has nothing to do with immigration times and local embassies.

K1 process in 2016 was nothing like K1 in 2019. So dont even compare that. Back in the days I did AOS in 6 months, now it takes more than a year. Things changed.

You didnt pay for non existing interview - you paid for the interview and your spot in the line.

What are you smoking? Of course it does! When you only have one US Embassy for an entire country to process immigration due diplomatic tensions dating back to early 2017 its a miracle it’s not taking 2 years per visa:

“Late last week, the U.S. State Department confirmed that the closure of the consulate and the expulsions of 58 U.S. diplomats in Moscow and two consulate officials in Yekaterinburg would “certainly” affect visa and consular operations.”

@Lars & Sasha has been pointing people to them for a while. Anastasia found one on her own in a Russian-language forum.

The Mueller Investigation

...has no bearing on your case.

So open up the other god damn embassies already Putin and Trump!

Moscow is the only embassy within Russia that handles immigrant & K-1 visa cases. Nothing new there, and nothing out of the ordinary compared to every other country.

Yes, poor relations resulted in a number of DOS employees being expelled, and long backlogs developed as a result.

But this is due to much larger factors than a report. The number of employees permitted in the mission was limited by Putin to match the number of Russian state employees within the US. It's not efficient to limit staff based on that instead of demand/need, but alas that's what it is.
