Hi everyone,

We just received our NOA 1 and our case got appointed to the Texas Service Center. I was wondering which Service Centers currently work the slowest? Thanks!

April 10, 2019: I-130 sent (Phoenix Lockbox)

April 12, 2019: NOA1 (Texas Service Center)

Check out the processing times a USCIS.gov.  When you have your answer, you should also know that the answer doesn't matter. Your petition will take as long to get approved as it takes YOUR petition.   Expect 7 to 9 months.  Be prepared for longer, and be thankful if it's faster.  Think 12 to 15 months for the whole process.

Unfortunately, they are all much slower than we want.  Be aware that, from time to time, USCIS transfers cases from one service center to another to balance their workload.  Good luck on your journey.  The immigration process REQUIRES a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and money.....

From someone who has been through the process...my advice is to pay no attention to processing times. It will drive you crazy. Your petition will be approved when it’s approved. It might be faster than the “standard” processing time, it might be slower. The service center involved makes no difference.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

We’ve been at TSC for 9 months. Received RFE, responded and now they transferred, waiting to find out where it went and why. Weird it transferred after they received RFE response. 🥴
