hi everyone,

I just received a notification that my I-751 is being scheduled for an interview... this was as of 5/19/2021. Fingerprints were taken on 5/14/21. I believe that the interview will be in Newark but I wont know until we get the letter in the mail. Hoping for the best.

I have had this status since oct 21,2020 so hang tight until the status changes again.

I thought that everybody in this thread would be very amused by my immigration attorney trying to convince me that getting an ROC interview is exceedingly rare and therefore I should pay him to come with us.

I responded to his email with a link to the Dec 2018 change in guidelines that make CR-1s ineligible for an interview waiver 😂

You should send him a link to VJ to keep up with the news :)

I got my Receipt text today we're assigned to MSC,

I'm from Texas so I expected to be sent there,

Hopefully we hear something with regards to biometric soon!

Thanks,

We’re you CR-1? Most CR-1s get sent straight to MSC.

Does anyone know if it's normal that we still haven't gotten a letter about biometrics? We've been at "Case was Received" since November 13, 2020.

If your case is with msc then its totally normal, we are at this stage since sep 2020

I think it also depends on your field office because some are more backed up than others. We filed in June 2020 and still waiting for biometrics. Our field office is Orlando, FL. Applying for naturalization next week.

Hi All,

I held CR-1. Just received text for ROC that I have been assigned MSC.

Any guidance ? How patient we should be ?

Very very patient...

We submitted in Oct 2019, biometrics in Nov 2019, been “ready to schedule” since July 1st 2020 and nothing since. My extension letter expires on July 4th, so I’m thinking about requesting an info pass appointment.

It is an incredibly long and tedious process, but I’d say that the level of anxiety is way way below the I-130!

best of luck and patience!
