Wait, you didn’t get a NOA but you have EAD approved already? That’s great! Confusing, but great!

Nope i meant my noa (April 9) supposedly will show up as the last date to be filing case inquiry in processing time section that day when it move backwRds to march 10.

Thank you. Waited 171 days for this.🤣

Any late April filers? I did an AOS from F-1 visa via marriage.

I was really busy the last few days and hadn't been checking my case status.
I just got the notice in the mail that my EAD was approved on the 18th, and when I went online to the case tracker, it shows that my card was mailed on the 20th. Although funnily, the USPS informed delivery shows that USPS only JUST today submitted a package to today (23rd). 🙄

I got the courtesy I-693 notice today as well which was also sent out on September 18th. I had a RFE in June (which turns out it was ultimately their mistake) which was really frustrating and I lost about 3 weeks going back and forth with them. I'm seeing that some early April filers already got their interview dates in August... which makes me a little sad as the RFE definitely seems to have set me back. Hopefully I'll get my interview date soon as well!

I-485, I-765, and I-130 filed concurrently

Had our interview today in Charlotte, NC and got approved on the spot! I will share the documents and details of the interview later today after work for those that are having theirs soon. It's been quite a journey this past six months - we are beyond happy!!!

Waiting for your sharing of info! Congratulations 🎈

Timeline

Our interview was WAY better than we expected. To be honest, I had been extremely nervous this past month even though I know we were prepared.

Our officer was very friendly and made us both feel at ease. She definitely studied our application, as she shared that she had a good understanding of what kind of couple we were before us coming in. She also read our affidavit letter of support (which I didn't think they usually do!!!) - she was going though our photos and then asked whether our friend, who wrote the letter, was in these photos (!!!).

A majority of her questions were to confirm our answers from both the I-130 and I-485 forms. She also asked if we wanted to submit new documents and then collected everything I shared with her (see my list below for our bona fide docs we brought). There was only one question that not form-related was "how did you guys meet?" and that was it!

My advice to everyone is to come in prepared with documents, and be your normal self. If you didn't remember something, don't panic - we are not perfect! Dress business casual - you don't have to go business professional.

Here's our bona fide docs. I also brought a copy of our I-865 financial form and supporting docs.

  • Joint Bank Accounts
  • Insurance
  • Copy of the Lease - Rental Contract
  • Utility Bills
  • Selected Photos Documenting Relationship
  • Travel Itineraries:
  • Incoming Wedding Plan
  • Proof of Co-ownership of Pet
  • Affidavit Letter of Support

My date is 22nd April. Nothing yet except case ready to be scheduled. No EAD yet.

That's the opposite of me. My I485 and 130 have no updates since they received the response to my RFE on July 9th -  although like I mentioned above, I got the courtesy notice to complete the I693 today. When did you get the update that said case is ready to be scheduled?

Thanks for letting me know! It seems like most people that filed in April (that I've seen anyways) have gotten the update to "case is ready to be scheduled" back in August. 😞
