Can anyone speak to the reliability of Tier 1 agents giving out real-time case status updates? Or are they just reading off the same database as one of the websites?

Thier information is very limited and they provide the same information you receive from the website. Tier 2 on the other hand, have additional insight and should be your go to person for the opportunity to have the next level of information. Some T2 are better at customer service then others. Your mileage may vary.

OMG!

NOA 1 April 25th,

NOA 2 July 17th!

I randomly checked the old website, didnt expect anything before August!

It only says its approved at the old website, not the new one. And we havent got any text or anything in the mail yet, but still I guess its REAL! So happy!!

Fingers crossed for all of you still waiting! Hope this is a good week!

If they say you were approved or are getting an RFE, they're almost certainly not making it up. However, they very rarely have more information than the web sites do, and it's not at unheard of for people to be told they have no new information and then get NOA2 in the mail within the next day or two (which is to say their case had to have been approved at the time they called).

Also, anything else they say about the status of a case that's taking a relatively long time to process ... that's probably pure fiction.

Thanks @Greenbaum. Frankly that’s a bit of a relief to know since so far according to both websites we don’t have an approval, meaning if Tier 1 is as reliable as the websites, there’s still hope that we may already be approved. My beneficiary and I are both living in Canada so it takes quite a bit longer for the mail to get to us.

We are chomping at the bit to get that NOA2 because that’s when I can start to get the ball rolling on moving back to the US and getting a job lined up etc before my beneficiary’s interview. Tricky timing as we want to minimize paying rent in two places at once!

I just called earlier and ask to be transferred to a Tier 2, and I was told I would get a callback in 880 minutes! 😂

I'm confused because you indicate above you are in Canada, which I assume is where you will have your interview, but your personal profile in the left hand column indicates France. The flag should be of the country to which you will have your interview in.

Ah, I see. Beneficiary is a French citizen living in Canada, hence the French flag.

The fkag and country should signify the country to where the interview will take place. This way we know how to position our response as each embassy can be different.

So.. I checked both websites this as per usual this morning and there was no updates but I am signed up for informed delivery and  I have a letter in the mail from USCIS!!!! I am at work and I told everyone in my house they can’t open the letter until I get home. I am super nervous/excited!! I was supposed to go to the gym right after work and then the library to work on  homework... but now all of that will be getting postponed and I will be driving straight home! I can’t wait to be off and see what it says! The letter is dated 7/18 and my NOA1 was 4/25!

Will keep you guys posted!
