There are also walls around most of the houses.

They are discriminating against innocent Hondureños who might wish to seek asylum!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Ild her about WW2 and the Japanese invading the Philippines.  She had never heard of it. Then we touched on the holocaust.  She just could not get her mind around Hitler gassing over 6 million jews.  Children should be taught what happens when  evil is not checked .

They keep them pretty blind and dumb on world history in that country, even if the history happened in their own country

Like the Republicans compromise?

It did seem that President Trump compromised a lot in this last debate.  I thought he originally wanted 25 billion for a barrier and came all the way down to 5-6 billion.  I don't remember Speaker Pelosi ever coming off zero.

No one seems to have any problems getting and using am ID when they want to purchase alcohol, cigarettes, or get an EBT card.

I as a 35 year old guy have repeatedly been carded to even buy lotto tickets here in NC which is weird to me.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by a state making it hard to get an ID?  I've had one since I was 15, and never once had any problems obtaining one.  I carry 3 IDs daily, a 4th when I'm working, plus I have a birth certificate.

Third world country, but the Philippines issues a postal ID, about $2.  Used country wide as proof of who you are.

In Israel your ID is separate from your drivers license. Took my wife a bit to get used to that. You use your license mostly to, well, drive. You have an ID issued to you which is a bit of a larger card with your pic and info. When you drive you have to have both with you. When you enter, say, government buildings you show the ID(not the license). They are good for 10 years.

I am in the Philippines,  were you have to show an ID and get your finger dipped in ink. I just told my in laws about this. They could not comprehend  why anyone could possibly think its a bad idea.

My 10 year old gifted neice ask me about history. I told her about WW2 and the Japanese invading the Philippines.  She had never heard of it. I heard in Asia they don't get educated a whole lot about the holocaust, mostly about asian wars. There was an issue a few days ago where this Thai band was dressed in uniform that had nazi symbols on it(I guess it's very common to see nazi themed gifts for sale over there) but it was all out of ignorance, they had no clue what it actually meant. Once they found out they of course apologized and all...but one of the comments in that report by someone was that he is 40 years old and he didn't even know anyhthing about it so how could they be expected to(it's a young girl band). Quite mind boggling that some people don't know and are never taught such important history.

I was in Mall in Manila few years ago, they were doing the cosplay thing, I saw a guy dressed up in a Nazi outfit with a swastikas on his armband and carry a swastika flag.  I was thinking to myself he would catch all out hell in USA for wearing that thing

I noticed that back on my first visit to the ROK back in 2008.  It was then that I learned it was a very prevalent symbol in several Asian based religions (Buddhism, Hindu, etc.).  I think they were using it way before Germany adopted it in the mid-20th century.  Regardless, it did surprise me that it was still being used.
