Is it me or the CEAC Status site is having problems?

Nope it’s really slow. Probably with everyone being on to check if their case has shipped or not and with them doing updates to the statues of all the cases

Soooo....does anyone know if the NVC mails out through the day or just one big push at the beginning of the day?  We were assigned a # last Friday 😳 hoping to catch this mail out to the embassy

I got my case number Jan 22nd and it’s still not shipped today. Hoping there’s a delay in the site being updated and that it will ship in this batch or it’s another 2 week wait

So just checked again for the 100000th time this morning and it says the case in now IN TRANSIT!! Finally!!

I have a question though. The CEAC Status says "Your Interview Date was Provided to you by the NVC". Can someone explain what this means? I thought I would have to schedule the interview ourselves once the embassy gets the case?? is this normal?

 image.png.1ae665c7428f871718c1cb33be9ebddf.png

I believe that's just a generic message and the interview date portion doesn't apply to our type of visa. You do have to schedule the interview yourself with the Embassy after they receive it.

I haven't gotten the email yet. Only the CEAC site updated to show "in transit" but soon as we get the email. that's the last page we need to print and were 100% ready for the medical and the interview. ^_^ already scheduled for next week. So exciting. If everything goes smooth she can be here the last week of February ^_^

So once we have the case number/invoice number from NVC, we can pay the fee and schedule the medical exam/interview?

For the Embassy in the Philippines yes. The medical is walkin. no appointments for medical. But yes I paid the fee right after I received my NVC Case number. And I scheduled my interview already.

My fiancé is in Iceland. I'm hoping it's the same! That really makes things easier.

The embassy will receive my packet by Monday. As for packet3 or whatever, its rare that Philippines receives that. Most people don't even receive it until after they get their visas lol.

The fee you guys are referring to is the DS160 form or is there another fee the petitioner needs to pay?

There is no fee for the DS160. The fee is for the Visa itself. $265 In Philippines you cant schedule your interview until you've paid the visa fee. Other Embassy's may do it differently.
