Congrats man, I'm hoping mine gets in either tonight at midnight or next week. I can't wait any longer xD. Did you have to jump through any loops by calling the 0888 number? The recording says that is for non immigrant visas and the information they mention that you are suppose to have in hand differs quite a bit.

No, I didn't have to jump through any loops.  I called the 0888 number then after the automated speech I pressed #1 then I waited about 7 minutes and told the operator I wanted to check if NVC received my I129f approved petition, then she asked for my receipt number, then asked for my name and DOB.  She said yes they received it and she said she has a case number and invoice number for me.

Hey, so once NVC receives my case they should give me 2 numbers? (case# and invoice#) I have a case # that starts by BGT as my embassy is in Bogota, Colombia. Am I missing the other number? Is it important?

Thanks for the positive message. I'm just really hoping this doesn't take up to 6 months like one of the agents told me.

Took them 27 days to assign my case number and they received the petition 19 days after the NOA2. 3-4 weeks seems to be the standard lately so hopefully your wait is nearing the end

In case anyone is curious if NVC ever respond to the Ask NVC form. It seems they respond around a week after you submit a question. Iv asked them a question twice now. Once to see if they received my case and that was on the 9th and I received a response on the 14th. Then I asked them for my case number on the 22nd and they replied on the 29th.

Can you quote your source, because the IRS transcript is an official government document and is used in lieu of the paper 1040 (which also is a "copy" and not an original).  I believe your source is wrong but I wait to read your reply with quote.

I would also like to hear something regarding this question...

The OP never answered. It's an incorrect assumption. You can go to IRS.gov and download an official IRS transcript that you can use at your interview. But, always check the P3 to see if there is any deviation from this procedure. In 5 years of answering questions I have yet to have anyone turned down or away because they used the Transcript and not the long form 1040.

When I have looked at the Honduran embassy instructions for K1 interview, it says to bring a copy of my 1040 from the last year. Is that something i just get from the tax preparer? Also I’ve seen people saying they usually want W2’s from the past 3 years. Is that true?

The petitioner should have a copy of their 1040 or they can opt to go to the IRS.gov website and download a copy. It's free and done while you are on the website.

Here is what is needed for the interview for the financials.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134. Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here: https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript Use this link to determine the income levels needed https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p.
