Getting ready to book vacation travel for April, was curious if anyone was aware of any great deals out there, looking at 3 economy tickets for April 10 - 29 fromn Columbus Ohio, best I've found is $2985 for 2 adults/1 kid

We were planning April 1st-13th ourselves and roundtrip from Houston to Manila is about $1500 with avoiding massive layovers and all.

I just did a priceline search and see tickets for about the same amount as you listed. Some are $900 per ticket but that has like a 20 hour layover in China. Other than that once you get to short layovers (5 hours or less) it goes up to $1000 per ticket.

Can always try adjusting you travel by one or two days, the prices fluctuate but I'm sure you tried that already.

cheapoair is probably the best

lilligo site looks good at first but they direct u to a site called KIWI and althought the ticket prices look good , they charge $179 for each checked in piece(only carry on is free there)

so be sure when looking that every charge is indicated

also go to a travel agent and compare

one got a better price for one of my trips as they get offered special deals/ no charge to use a travel agent

ASAP Tickets always promise the best pricing but I have yet to use them

I have used them without much luck ... I need to change when we visit I think, April is always high

Have you thought about splitting your ticket.  CMH to LAX and LAX to MNL?  It is a risk when you disconnect your itineraries but you might find it cheaper.  I just saw $535 for LAX to MNL in April

YMMV

Do not I repeat do not land in CHina or mess with any airlines based in China going to Philippines.  PM If you need details.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

Just because your reputation precedes you and you had a bad experience in China means we all should avoid?  I used Cathay Pacific and landed in Hong Kong (yes, Hong Kong is a part of China) and had a good experience.

PS.  I am sure you are on everyone's no fly list

I am sure he means the airlines China Southern or China  Eastern and not Cathay Pacific. @Chris Duffy am I right about that???
