Again I can only tell her experience but she showed both her expired GC and the letter and they refused to let her board. They told her her GC is expired and that the letter wasn’t enough proof. I agree that it was probably a misinformed employee but unfortunately that was all it took to cause a hassle and a setback. Personally, I’m not going to travel with the stamp but if the rules say you don’t necessarily need it, then it’s up to you, I’m just sharing her experience so you guys can be aware that such a thing has happened.

Thank you for sharing your friend's experience.

Definitely a nightmare ordeal due an ill-informed airline employee.

No.  They just received my filing last Monday.  I got a text on Thursday, and the check was cashed on Friday.

Congrats! looks like folks who filed towards the end of Jan are getting either biometrics or extension notices very quickly.

Has anyone received anything (bio/extension) from Nebraska (NSC) ? I filed on Jan 9 (Case # LIN-xxxxxxx), so far nothing but crickets!

Glad this part is over but we will still be trying to get info pass i-551 stamp on his passport before we travel in April. Good luck to all those still waiting to hear back, I hope it works out for everyone!!

I think if you haven’t received it in 30 days, you can file a request.  There must have been something going on 😕

Update for everyone - especially the New York folks.

I received biometric letter last Friday Feb 1 for next week. I decided to walk in today and got it done.

Still no receipt or extension letter. Do you guys think I should file for non-delivery once it fits 30days? Do the receipt and extension letter come seperated?

i130 (both parents)

2021/06/04 i130 filed online, routed to Nebraska

2021/09/03 RFE received, responded within a day
2021/11/19 Both i130 approved.

Currently waiting for cases to be transferred to NVC

The receipt IS the extension letter.  It's not two separate documents.  Yes, file an e-request if you did not get in 30 days.

I’m never lucky, but from zooming in on the picture (bc of course I’m going to irrrationally obsess over this all day) it looks like it’s two pages long.

Optimistic me is hoping 1 page is an extension and 1 page is the biometrics appointment.

Pessimistic me is feeling like it’s a really robust RFE, even though I logically know that I included more than enough quality evidence and secondly, there’s NO way they’re already flipping through those pages to demand something else.

21 months with nothing pending with USCIS was a gift!  Haha

Can you confirm what you received?  Was it the extension notice?
