Avenatti, who has said he's mulling a 2020 presidential run, became famous as Daniels' lawyer and pursued the president and those close to him relentlessly for months, taunting Trump in interviews and baiting him and his lawyers in tweets.

Hard to say.  Democrats love him because they say he is a fighter. This gives him mucho street cred.   If you were a democrat.....who would you prefer...him or Clinton?

Seriously though, even though he was an advocate of restricting Kavanaugh's Sixth Amendment rights, Avenatti is entitled to his due process and day in court.  Couldn't be more ironic.

I'm a little confused on this story. First it was his wife. Now it's just a woman (the wife is vigorously denying that he has ever touched her and says she hasn't seen him in months).

Yes, originally, the stories were that it was his estranged wife, but apparently that was an assumption some made in the press, or the police.  It seems to have been corrected now that it was an unnamed woman.
