If you are using a lawyer, why bother doing all the leg work for the lawyer? I don't understand.

Why not? It's my case, my future. Just because I use lawyer doesn't mean I should just sit back and relax. Especially last week was a long holiday.

You’re doing the right thing. Always follow up what your lawyer does and try to be proactive. Had I not been on top of my case I would’ve missed my K1 visa appointment cuz my lawyer dropped the ball.

I just got my NOA (Extension Letter for 18 months )last day of 2018, on December 31th. My case was received by USCIS on Nov 16th routed to  Nebraska Service Center (LIN).

The USCIS office in Chicago is  not accepting walk-ins neither taking appointments for infopass to get the passport stamped.

I am so relieved to get this NOA because was Green Card was already expired and was afraid to be asked by my employer for a proof employment authorization valid, so I decided to do an e-request a month later my case was received (thanks to this forum).

On December 26th got an email reply from USCIS about my inquiry;

The status of this service request is:
We have requested the notice be resent to the address listed in our systems. You should receive it within 10-14 business

So good luck to everyone on theirs case and don’t lose hope.

Hopefully things get better and all cases start moving faster.

how to place an non delivery request via calling uscis i called in past and i was simply told they can only provide me with my receipt number they cannot send me my receipt notice

You just need the receipt number that you can get by calling  USCIS. After you have the receipt number, go here: e-request non delivery. Submit the form and you're set. I hope that answers your question.

My case was received Nov. 15 and I didn't receive NOA1, 2days ago (Dec. 27) I called USCIS and I was told that the NOA1 was actually never sent to me, she said "I see that for you it says it was sent, but in our system it says it was never sent" and she told me she will put in a request for the notice to be sent to me and I should get it in 15-30days. She also said to call back after 30days if I won't get it.

@Venus201320 where did you get this notification? I submitted e-request for non delivery yesterday but it doesn't say anything on my account. I got the email and reference number. They want me to expect reply on January 25, that's 6 days after my green card expires lol 😭.

I got this email 8 days after I submitted my e-request., on the first email with the reference number they want me to expect reply on January 8.

Just be patience and you will get your letter extension soon and before your green card expires. Good Luck

I just called after 45 days of not getting my letter and they *finally* said they would re-send it (they kept saying even though they could see it was never sent that we needed to keep waiting). Hopefully it comes this time!

It's been almost 2 months since USCIS received my case and still no NOA yet, but I'm so relieved that I finally have an appointment to get I-551 stamp on my passport this week, a week before my green card expires. If the USCIS office near you isn't accepting walk in request or scheduling infopass appointment, call USCIS toll number and they will bypass it in their system. Someone from USCIS will call you after 3 days and will set up an appointment on any day and time that works for you. Got mine on this coming Thursday at 3:30 pm. :dance:

Any new for SRC folks? We are waiting on a response on our special request that put in with T2 support on November 14th. We have called in twice and they keep telling us to wait as they have 30 days to respond before they can do anything else on it. This is frustrating... 😢
