Hello everyone.

How long does it take for case to be ready at nvc

Case number assigned Oct. 17 and online case still says at NVC. And I really want to make it for the next batch that will be sent by the end of this month 😭

Case is never set to ready at NVC, that is the function for the Embassy to trip the switch to "ready". Your file will probably leave NVC on the next patch which is next week T/W.

My fiance gave his interview today at 10am (it was 3am my time so I didn't get any sleep lol) and he was approved!!!!! His appointment came last, so it was about a 2 hour wait. His interview lasted only 10 minutes. The lady officer was very nice, she asked lots of questions but they were easy and he said everything went smoothly. MAKE SURE you reference the checklist given here on the portal for your specific embassy and ask others who have gone through the process. There were some documents that the embassy required which were not listed in the packet we were emailed! For our case, it was a copy of the passport and the email confirmation of the interview which looks like this:

Dear Sir:

We received your approved fiancé visa case Please find attached the required documents.

This was not mentioned anywhere on the embassy website either.

All the best, hope all of you get your visas approved soon! :joy:

First congratulations. The easiest part of this process is the INTERVIEW! All the other stuff can drive you batty. Don't buy airline tickets till you have the passport/visa in hand and that you have looked it over very carefully. If all is right then book, fly and kiss. :D

BTW, I don't have a checklist P3 letter for Lebanon. Can you provide a copy so that I can help others who will come behind you? Thanks.

Hi,

The letter of intent I sent in my i129f package was addressed to USCIS.

The updated one for the interview should we address it to the US Consulate, Mumbai or USCIS again?

What say @Greenbaum  ?

You don't usually need a "new" letter of intent. Check your P3 letter for requirements. If one is needed then address it to the Embassy. Just do what do will do.

Interview date 2018-10-25

Hi everyone. I just wanted to say. I got my interview today. And we are approved! If someone is interested, consul said that everything looks good, and that I will get my Visa when my fiancé send them an updated letter with the intention to marry to the email address. She was told our letter is old, although it was 10 months old. I had an updated letter with me, made just in case, so I immediately gave it to the Consul. Good luck to everyone who are still waiting for the interview!

Congrats!!!!

Don't purchase airline tickets UNTIL you have your visa in your hands and you have looked it over for spelling errors and omitted information. Normal turnaround is a few days to 2 weeks. Be patient.
