I just don't know if the question is asking if I want to practice dentistry without a license. What do you think?

It looks to be a trick question but in the end, you want to practice and you know you need to be certified and licensed to practice in the US including any state requirements. So you answer YES.

Are you a health care worker seeking to perform such work in the United States (YES) but have not yet received certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools or from an equivalent approved independent credentialing organization? (YES)

So your answer will be YES.

Every document that you submit at your interview with your Embassy must be transcribed to English. So having the ds-160 form in a different language will help your case but delay it.

Our embassy says english or spanish is fine.

thank you!  I dont know why NVC said that....

Because The K-1 process is quite strange. For a time, it is both a non-immigrant and immigrant visa type. That is why the links (what you received in the email) will send you the process for immigrant which would be the I-864 and DS-260 even though it truly is a non-immigrant visa requiring I-134 and the DS-160. As you go through the stages, within the NVC system you look up your file under immigrant (ceac.state.gov/). It stays that way until after your interview and the approval and your visa is ready for issue. At that point, it changes over to non-immigrant. It truly is a non-immigrant visa with immigrant intent.

So when they communicate with you, your record is flagged as an "immigrant" visa and all their communication templates are designed for the immigration visas. Hence, that is why you received correspondence with the "immigrant" themed "template" answer. So there you have it.

No it's not too early to start the DS-160 but don't submit if your case hasn't gone to NVC. You're a tad to early now.

I called NVC again last night and after being told the day before they had just received it (9/26), they finally gave me a case no! Things seem to be moving a lot quicker now!

So for those who had been told there case had been received at NVC on 26th Sept and hadn't received a case no, you might want to try asking again in case its already done now!

On another note, @Greenbaum , how do you know the next shipment date is 10/3?

Congratulations.

You will see many approvals throughout the rest of the week as we are nearing the next batch of cases being sent out to the Embassies. 10/3 is the next shipment date.

For those who have already filled out the ds-160:

I started to fill mine out and there is a part where they ask if you have any immediate relative in the US. I thought that only meant parents, siblings or children. But there's a side note on the page where it says that fiancé is also considered to be an immediate relative. I have filled out ds-160s in the past and this was not an option. So should I click on fiancé and proceed with adding my fiancée's information?
