Hello guys

Please what's the fate of our K1 application processing with this new rule of banning immigrant visas for Nigeria.

If it goes into effect then the consulate can still recommend a waiver.

Plus K1s are technically non immigrant.

Yes you are right.although it is technically a non-immigrant visa, it is treated like an immigrant visa so because of that, I wonder the effects it will have on K-1. Just worried of how frequent these waivers are issued. Just feel so sick about this.

how long after you get approved did you receive your passport?  They said 5-10 day's but i am a little confused by the status change on CEAC website.   It went from Immigrant Visa type - "Administrative review" to Non-immigrant visa type - Application Received".

Administration review is a good thing, everyone goes through it, it’s only for couple days while their transfer the paperwork and final stamp of the visa. Don’t worry in couple days you should get message for passport pick up.

As in, it's a one-stop thread for all questions/experiences someone from a specific country (Nigeria) might go through. If I were from Nigeria, this thread alone would more than answer any questions I may have. I have had to peruse through several pages trying to find Kenya-specific topics. If there was one mega-thread like this one, it would be much easier. Just a thought. I am sure there are many such posts that could help me, but they are scattered. I'm sure someone from Ghana is going through the same thing. Having them concentrated in one thread definitely goes a long way. If I were from Naija i would honestly sit down and read through all 26 pages ^_^

Create one. If its helpful to you, then others are probably thinking the same thing.  You can start with your experience and with time others will join in...

Hello!  For those who's fiance entered the US...did the CBP Officer give your fiance any documentation at the Point of Entry?  My fiance did not get anything.  I am curious about the DS-3025 form specifically...Thanks!

You only get entry stamp on visa. Nothing else. You will need to print out the I-94 though for SSN and other applications.
