yes, consular processing is available and necessary after GC abandonment.

Well... if you want to rather take a private lawyer website over the official uscis one, I guess that’s your prerogative.  And avvo has been wrong on many occasions before. But, I’m getting the feeling you guys are only listening to whoever tells you what you want to hear. Good luck with renewing your petition, hope it works out for you.

I’m not understanding how it works either given that the principal applicant no longer is in the status the derivative needs to be a derivative of.. However, presumably their lawyer understands it better than I do. Maybe follow to join is an option even though the original was abandoned. Best left to a competent lawyer I guess.

Agreed...hence why I wasn't sure if it was still possible. This is beyond my familiarity, but it's the only thing I could guess at where 2-3 months is even in the ballpark.

The chances of your wife being admitted into the States as a "visitor" is very slim right now.

There's no basis for a new EAD/AP because your I-485 was denied and your wife is no longer in the US. You'll have to pursue consular. 

And that's the exact reason why I can't waste my time paying a lawyer for advice. Most of them are fake lawyers
