I'm so happy for you guys. Now you just have a little housekeeping to do. Get the visa, tickets, rice cooker, clean the house and other things we can't talk about. :jest: I'm wishing you all the best. Don't forget to get the Social Security Number in the first week after she arrives. You'll need that to add her to the bank accts. etc.

Hello house? Anyone from Nigeria who had his/her interview last Tuesday 9/4/2018?

Have you received the email and text for pickup?

How long did it take your status to change to issued?

Mine has remained "Application Received" with no updates or whatsoever since my interview.

I know I have been told not to worry but hey, I am human, and I am worrieeeed. @Greenbaum

Ok guys, sorry to bother y'all. Apparently I wasn't doing the right thing. I changed  my status to nonimmigrant and entered my DS-160 confirmation number and there it was in "Administrative processing" with a status update of 9/10/2018.

Relax. It's coming just a little more :clock:. Find something to do to keep busy. Visit friends to say goodbye. Pack your bags. Get all your documents ready for the trip to the USA. Find the immigration and custom forms online then print and complete.

Yup that will do it. All through USCIS and NVC and Embassy your file is an immigrant, once your file changes to non-immigration status your visa is being produced.

Hi all

My Fiancées interview is on Sept 23. I am getting mixed advice/commentary on whether I should attend the interview or not. It is in Egypt and I was told it is not required and the chances are still good for him if I don’t attend. Then I keep reading on this forum it does help. I’m concerned because of finances and work if I’m able to go. If I don’t go, do I hurt our chances?

I really want to go but have to make a wise decision financially and work wise. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I’m so glad I can report that we got approved at our interview today, it lasted 5min with quite easy questions, I’ll post a full review once my fiancé is back in the us

Travelers may complete the declaration form online, print it and bring it on their trip to present to CBP when they arrive in the U.S. or at a CBP preclearance site. Airlines and cruise lines also will hand out the declaration forms for travelers to complete before disembarking in the U.S. and they maybe the same form and will not have to be completed if the online form was completed, printed and brought along.

Additional paperwork is up to the airlines and your country. I can't help you there.
