Does someone know why the end of June is getting approved and not first dates? Is this normal? Or that means my case  will be an RFE or something. I dont get it... Just makes me frustated and stressed 😪 was it even worth it sending my file earlier?

I’m June 28 and not approved so it’s not all end of June dates. Hang in there.

It goes to NVC first. This is generic jargon....Reading too much can make you crazy)))))

This is your NOA2 application approval. Now it moves on to NVC for case assignment. It will take 2-4 weeks to get to NVC and then another 1-3 weeks to get a case assigned. Nothing you can do for another 30-45 days so hang tight. Once the NVC assigns the case number then it will go on to your Embassy for the interview.

Hang in there. We are still ahead of where we thought we would be 2 months ago....

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

Relax and stop stressing over the process. It's not USCIS or NVC that's causing you stress it's yourself. Every time someone ask "is this normal" and the answer is ALWAYS going to be YES. That's because it happens quite frequently but you are never around to see it because it's happened in the past. Take a break and stay busy and away from VJ. You will be better for it.

I don’t think anyone really knows... We must try to be a little more patient and focus on the nice things to come....

We are NOA1June 6 (old site) / June 8 (new site) and still waiting for NOA2, but it’s worth the wait. What’s 183 days, or more, of waiting compared to a lifetime of happiness... We are all in this together. 😃

NOA1 June 5 old site June 4th new site. I think this is the easy part, yes waiting sucks, but rarely is anything denied at this stage. Medical exam and the interview will be much more stressful. This is just hurry up and wait. I admit I am anxious for my approval but while I am waiting I am getting everything I need together. In October my fiancee filled out the paperwork for the Justice #2. Not sure if that's just a Vietnam thing or not but it took about 3 weeks to get back. I took a trip to see my fiancee a couple weeks ago and took her copies I had from the I-129F as well as the I-134, tax transcripts, original birth certificate, pictures, bank statements, employment verification, among a lot of other stuff. We also completed the DS160 online while I was there so I could help her with it. Now is the time to begin preparing because you will be even more stressed out trying to get all that stuff together after you are approved.

Sounds really smart. I didn’t know they can fill out DS 160 yet. For some reason I was thinking we need a case number from NVC to do that. It’s good to know! Also how far back did you get your tax transcripts? Thanks!

I just did the last 2 years. Technically you only need the tax transcripts from the previous year but it's right there on the irs.gov website that I figured I might as well print off the last 2, better to have too much than too little.  For the DS160 you only need the USCIS WAC case ID. The case ID from NVC you need to pay the interview fee and everything else after the DS160.

Caught up with all the posts since I stepped out a while back.  Congrats to all who have received their NOA2!  So good to read the excitement and know that our day is coming.

Got a weird status change notification from the app on 12/5, but it was just two repeats (Oct & Nov dates) of NOA1 status.  Nothing new about that.  Got my heart racing for a moment though. 😁

Going back to my popcorn...

Good luck, relax, live and love today!

I got the same weird notification from the app on 12/5 and today I got an email notification this morning from the new site that my case was approved. I even called on Wednesday to inquire about my case and they said nothing has changed.
