  1. Yeah, you never know what can happen. Can you imagine if paperwork got lost and there were no electronic copies anywhere?
  2. They send your file electronically to the embassy/consulate when they send out the DHL shipment. Like I said the first "ready" date is the consulate/embassy receiving the electronic transmittal ie scanned copies and the second is the embassy/consulate receiving the physical paperwork. I would imagine they do something like this in case oh I don't know THE PLANE GOES DOWN SO YOU DON'T LOSE YOUR PAPERWORK!
  3. They receive both. You can check DHL to find out when your physical copy was signed for at the embassy/Consulate
  4. The first ready is usually when the Consulate/Embassy receives the electronic file.
  5. You can always go back in and access it. I emailed and printed from Chrome and it didn't have the bar code so I had to go back in under explorer and email it again.
  6. No, I got everything squared away. Just waiting for them to email PKT3 so we can get her medical done. I got tired of "where is my" so I had to leave for a spell lol
  7. Oh I know, my case was received Monday. I was just nosing around their website and stumbled on that. I saw a lot of posts wondering what the NVC invoice number was for so I thought I would share.
  8. Um no. I was letting Greenbaum know what the NVC invoice number is used for. I completed my DS160 back in November.
  9. @Greenbaum and anyone else that cares. I found out what the NVC invoice number is for. It is used when you upload immigrant paperwork into the CEAC system before the interview. Since the K1 visa is classified as non-immigrant the invoice number does not apply. CEAC Immigrant visa https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx
  10. Have you called NVC or only USCIS? NCV will tell you if they have received your case or not you can also send an inquiry via message. Both links are on the first post from @Greenbaum
  11. An A-Number, also known as an Alien Registration Number or Alien Number, is a unique eight- or nine-digit number assigned to a noncitizen at the time their A-File is created. An A-Number is the letter “A” followed by eight or nine numbers (such as A012345678)
  12. Did you case get sent out on Wednesday?
