Called USCIS just now even though both websites and apps still said received.  Rep told me in June 6th they sent me a RFE.  Although I would have loved to hear Approved, I’m happy that at least my case has actually been touched.

Now or to see what the RFE is about.

Praying & keeping pisitive thoughts.

NOA1 is November 14, 2017.

THANK YOU. I see you got approved. Congratulations!!!! I still haven't heard anything. I am writing a letter to USCIS explaining the hardship it will cause me because I am a student and planned to get married during the 3 weeks break I will have in August. Noa1: Nov 8th, still nothing.

We were approved on June 7. I reached out to my congresswoman on June 1 (Friday) and she followed up with USCIS on June 4 (first thing Monday morning) and an employee of her office actually called and left me a voicemail to tell me I was approved. USCIS also updated her office. Try the congressional step. The old website and app have not updated at all. The new website updated 2 days late. The letter arrived today (June 9).

NOA1 - November 2 (Old), November 6 (New)

NOA2 - June 7

Congratulations on your approval. I am a January filer. And yesterday, my fiancé emailed his congressman and will do follow up appointment next week. It’s just sometimes frustrating hitting the mark of 7th month without hearing anything from the USCIS.

Whatever it takes atleast we tried asking for help. :)

Am i able to call USCIS and see what it’s for or do i have to wait for it to come in the mail?

Need to wait as they will not divulge what the RFE is referencing. Don't know if they just can't see the reasoning or they can't say. My bet is that the tier one agent can't see the RFE.

We see little stupid mistakes and sometimes we go through many who get one because they met through a dating site and they want to be sure it's not pay for marriage site. If you get an RFE for a dating site then send them the Terms of Service (TOS) from the website. Once they get that they approve and you keep moving on.

Hi Emm. My RFE response received was a day after they received it in the PO Box Laguna Niguel CA. I did express and signature which arrived on time and updated the case the next day at around 10pm PST.

Email, text and app alerted of the update.

Anybody know how long it takes before there is movement after RFE is received?

Stay strong everyone!

Two weeks sometimes more sometimes less but 2 weeks is normal.

It depends on the RFE type, can be anywhere from a couple of days to a few weeks... hard to say

What was the RFE for?

RFE was for Two Year requirements of having met even though we already have a kid together and our son is a US citizen.

I guess they were very particular regarding their requirements as my itineraries was NOT sufficient to prove that we have met 2 years prior my application NOA1 date.
