Yes. My fiance just got done with her medical today and she still hasn't received packet 3. In fact, our case is still "At NVC."

Wish I knew if I could do that too....

It's probably not the same everywhere so maybe you couldn't have anyway. I was surprised myself.

Did you call the embassy and asked?

It kind of happened by accident. We filled out the DS-160, paid the VISA fee... and this was on a Saturday. However, our case was still "AT NVC" and she didn't have her physical yet so when the embassy called her on Monday they couldn't give her a interview date yet because we didn't have everything we needed, but the woman from the embassy told her she can go get her medical done in the meantime and told her specifically what she needed (which was not much), and she went and scheduled the medical and everything, and just got it done today.

So, basically the embassy contacted her to tell her what was up so I imagine you probably could have called the embassy yourself and find out if it was possible to do medical then.

Anyone know how long they wait between “batches” at the NVC ?

Are you referencing the NVC mailing out batches to Consulates? Is that a seen trend or random?

I received my NOA2 on May 25th. I called the NVC today to ask for my case number and they told me they just received my case today but they did not give me a case number over the phone and told me I need to wait up to 8 weeks before i receive a notification from them. How is everyone getting there NVC number over the phone? It seem's I have to wait until I get a notification from the NVC. Thanks!

Just call them tomorrow

They will have it ready.

8 weeks is a typical response.

We have the same NOA2 date, letter 5/24, new website 5/25. And we called as well today. They just received it, no case number yet. We will call again tomorrow for the case number update.

You can call and ask if you have a case number yet as often as you want. I called every work day around the same time, it was my little ritual.
