Hi 297 days and counting🙋🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

This is all I have from USCIS👉🏾We have placed your case on a processing hold because the required security checks remain pending. Until we receive the results of these security checks, we cannot move forward on your case. We require the results of security checks before we make a decision on any pending case.
We cannot predict when we will receive the results of these security checks. Please be assured that we will make every effort to make a decision in your case as soon as the security checks are complete.
We will inform you if additional information is required.🙏🏾🙏🏾

At least that sounds like a honest answer.

Good luck

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

So sorry to hear this
I think a few people in June 2017 and July 2017 experienced similar things
MAybe they can shed some light on how/if they resolved the issue

But did you receive an RFE first or they just sent you that message?

It might be that the security checks are indeed pending and that they’ll hear something soon. Unfortunately for us st day 425, we still are  getting the same answer that security checks are pending. We filed a lawsuit and they have 60 days to respond.

You need to file for lawsuit  no other way that can help your case.

Hi all day 277 of unending wait but optimistic🙏🏾🙏🏾 Love transcends all. I know one thing for sure "this will end whichever way"💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Best of luck to everyone.

My case ended after a lawsuit in 405 days.   You need to get them by lawyer and lawsuit

Hi guys! First timer.

I filed a I-130 for my husband 10/3/2017 but to this day haven’t recieved any update besides the case received NOA1 on 10/10/2017.

Every time I call they say the background check is pending and no ETA.

Based on the thread postings, 12 to 14 months is becoming the norm?

Do I file a lawsuit or request a FOIA? Some have said ask your congressman/governor for help? Which would be the best route?

Please help!!!!

I can't tell you which one to use or if one is better then the other, but I'll list in order from weakest to strongest attack for your situation.

1. You email the ombudsman (cisombudsman.publicaffairs@hq.dhs.gov) and they will auto-reply with a link to a form to file a follow-up. The ombudsman is an independent contractor not affiliated with USCIS and when they make an inquiry on your behalf USCIS will respond.

2. Send a letter with all the details of your case to your U.S. representative's contact information can be found in this handy directory, and your U.S. senator's information is in this one.

3. You can sue USCIS to make a decision on your case if it has gone too long. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a-FPirWXg2jSXHKXE_jocaOQuNMfib_4/view?usp=sharing

My boos! It’s been a hot second and I’ve been off VJ for awhile trying to distract myself from this process - it almost broke us.

Anywho, we’re still waiting “pending security checks” and are at day 352 😬

@Sarac9 (wuv you Queen!) and I catch up now and then off VJ which is always really refreshing.

Just thought I’d pop in, say hi and hope you all are with or almost with your loves! 😘😘♥️♥️
