From a USCIS Processing Times perspective it looks like it is taking 8.5 Months to 11 Months for Potomac Service Center (U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21    June 06, 2017)

USCIS processing timelines don't apply after NOA2.

Current NVC processing timelines are around 3 months, then the time from Case Complete (CC) to interview depends on the consulate involved...usually anywhere from 1-3 months.

I suggest not planning any flights or large purchases until the visa is in hand. Anything can happen before getting the visa.

Useless information in this context, because the OP is asking about the NVC stage, not USCIS.

It seems like more recently it is taking 1-2 months to get a case number, 1-2 weeks to submit the payments, online forms and AOS/IV packages, then 2 months to process. Then another 1-2 months for the interview date.

Based on what I've seen more cases than not are probably around the 5-6 month mark recently. I wish it was only around 3 months..

Hello! My fiance (Tunisian) and I are currently getting ready for our interview on June 21st. For my timeline,  I got my case number from NVC (I called about once a week to check, so it took about 3 weeks to get a case number, My 129f got approved on April 5th) on April 27th. It also shipped to the Tunisian consulate that week.

I wrote the consulate asking about timeframe details so we can plan our wedding. The first reply was really generic but the second time I wrote TunisACS@state.gov (for American Citizen) and next thing I knew May 29th we were notified that our interview was June 16th.

So in reality, a very short time frame but we made sure to keep in contact and check in because things tend to get pushed out during Ramadan and for other reasons.

Not sure if this will help you but I thought an actual example might prove useful. (I know it's not the same visa process but the embassy should be the same) :)

That type of timeline is more applicable once at Case Complete (CC) at NVC for an immigrant visa.

For an I-129F/K-1 non-immigrant visa, NVC only assigns a case number and forwards the packet off to the embassy. For an I-130/IR-1/CR-1 immigrant visa, there's several weeks to a few months of processing at NVC before it is deemed CC, and only then would they schedule the interview with the embassy.
