Amanda can’t be true I put everything in mine. I think it just depends on which adjuster gets yours in the pile.

I don't think so, people from our times have gotten RFEs already too. It just means background checks are taking longer. I'm hoping we have to think about those of us who have lived in tons of different places, worked in tons of different places, have common names, etc. etc. no background check is going to be the same, some just come through very quick, some are easier than others. Based on what many people have posted here they have a number of databases to check, I assume some take longer than others based on each of our unique info.

For those of you getting earlier than average approvals - can you shed any light on this? I.e, have you not lived or worked many places? Or anything else that might have made your petition less complicated, no prior marriages, etc.?

I'm always constantly looking for things to note on why some move faster than others. Then again, maybe it's as simple as workloads or focus levels of the officer's desk we get stacked on. There are so many possibilities!

@MeghanK  For me.. I've lived in 3 states since graduating from college, had about 5 jobs in the same time frame (about 8 years). Neither of us have previously been married and I have the pretty unique name (USC).  I've never thought about that, but probably made it pretty easy to track all my information down lol.  I followed the K1 guide on here pretty closely.  We had 6 face to face in the past 2 years before applying, across the US, Panama, and Ecuador.  Also described how we met when we were 16 and that I spent semester in Panama.  Not sure if any of this helps but I figured we had a pretty simple application.

Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted on here but the summer flew by, October got here suddenly, and I went out to my mailbox yesterday and unexpectedly found a letter from USCIS, and it was my NOA2!!!  Notice Date Oct. 11, and my NOA 1 Received Date was April 16... I can't believe it was less than 6 months! I had prepared myself for it to come hopefully by early November, and was not optimistic about being able to go with my fiance to Bogota with her for her interview, but now I think we will be able to go before Thanksgiving when I'm in Colombia next. Best of all, I think we can now realistically be on track for her to move here at the first of the New Year, as we had hoped for under our best-case scenario!!

Needless to say, we are very happy :), but I know there's still work to do and hopefully things will keep going smoothly. Hopefully more and more April filers will keep receiving good news!

Best wishes, everyone!

congrats!!!!!!!! i wish u a fast journey!!!

Your absence has not taught me how to be alone; it has merely shown me that when together we cast a single shadow on the wall.

Hi MeghanK,

What kind of Case Tracker app are you using?

It's called "CaseTracker" and pulls info from the old site.

You should be able to search it in the app store. I've been approved but mine is still not updated on the app as approved even after 12 days.

I just ordered my tax transcripts. For some reason, I thought that would be more of a pain. I guess I'm used to everything being complicated at this stage!! Another check off the list :)

I agree! Was super simple compared to the IRS nightmare I was imagining.

@Greenbaum  Thanks! I created a Panama Thread in the Latin America Sub Forum.

Great! Thanks for furthering the help for those from your country.

Now do this. Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture, there is a link to your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others from your Embassy are getting the same notice of approval or action.  Try it. It really works!  PM each and invite them to your thread. Watch it grow.

And if you want to follow those from other countries that have similar timelines as yours there are several tools available to you. Go up to Immigration Timelines on the blue ribbon above and select it. Once you are on the next page looked to your left and you will see a box that states, "find similar timelines" and select it. A list will populate with those who are processing close to your timeline. When they start to change you will soon be behind them.

I’m thinking us early April people have a slacker adjuster.   Or we’re just impatient. 😂
