Today we had our interview for my Green Card at the Sacramento office  at 8 o'clock in the morning. We got their way early and it was freezing outside. We had all our documents with us and we were over prepared for it. We waited a while, because apparently we noticed that they want to deal with all the applicants to U.S. citizenship path. Soon came our turn and we spent about 30 - 45 minutes with the officer. I honestly thought it went by really fast, but the officer was extremely nice and she had to do our job. The questions were basically about us on how we met till the time we've spent together before and after marriage. She didn't bother asking pictures. She ask me the 'yes' or 'no' questions from the I-485, which were pretty easy and went over some of the stuff the we filled in the I-485. Then she asked us for documents such as, affidavit of support like I-864, government ID's, EAD card, and other join documents to support our bonafide marriage. Other than that, she was really nice and also had a nice conversations. Hope this help for you all!

Good luck to you all and your time come soon.

We got scheduled for an interview after 10 months. I was 'almost' surprised as Philly has processing times stretching from 13.5 to 22 months.
My medical exam was in October 2017. Do you think I should redo it?  Did anybody here redo theirs?

Hi Guys,

I have to renew my EAD & AP card.  Here are a few questions.

  • Do I file them together and mail the to the same place?
  • Where do I send the packet? Chicago?
  • Will the issue me a new Combo card or two separate documents?

I just want to confirm my thoughts.

Thanks

I would have the same questions if I had not gotten an interview notice! Maybe ask in a bigger forum, not just our group?

Hello Everyone, congrats to those getting their green card interview and approvals. However, I’d like to know if there are any April 2018 I-485 filers going through Dallas office that has either been scheduled or already had their green card interviews. My I-485 recieved date is April 26, case ready to be scheduled for interview June 12 and nothing since then, it’s roughly 10 months now. Any info please and thanks

Hello, our timeline is very similar. My received date is April 24, case ready to be scheduled since June 26.

Dallas is really backlogged. I know two people that had their interview last week of January and they both filed June/July 2017, so we still have a long wait time. Probably Oct/Nov/Dec if we’re lucky. All the best!

Looks like Dallas is second slowest, Houston being the worst.

This is really sad news for me. Thanks for the update. We started this application at an address served by Fort Smith only to end up at Dallas because we moved to TX by the time for AOS. if I had this information we would have stuck with the Arkansas address. It’s difficult to get a professional job offer with the one year EAD. I’m just so tired and perplexed by all this. I don’t understand why they can’t share the workload and balance it out across different centres to remove the high variation in processing times, it’s so unfair.
