Well I guess news but not good news.

I called in today to get an update and apparently they sent a request for evidence on the 27th Of September. I don’t know why, I sent over 40 photos of us together and letters, etc. so I guess I’ll have to find out. Really really bummed out and feeling hopeless right now. Not even a clue except that I put “Okcupid.com” and the guy was like “MARRIAGE BROKERAGE SITE!!!” Even though a 30 second google search proves this wrong. MAN! Sigh.

I can relate to the feelings of being bummed. But try not to be! Likely it'll be something easy to respond to. Remember it's no the job of the officer to do research for us so they aren't going to do any googling :-). It's our job to present the research and evidence to them. I received my RFE hard copy in only 4 days after the website updated it's status.

I've really tried to change my mentality that yes, it sucks to have an RFE, but I'm so thankful that now I have a timeline to look forward to and it's something easily fixed.

Should be an easy fix. Go to okcupid website and look up their terms of service and print that out. It says it’s a free website and does not do criminal background checks. Rapidvisa website says in order to qualify as an IMBRA you must do background checks. I would compose a letter stating such and that it is a free website and print out all pages of the terms of service for okcupid and send that with. That should easy clear that up

I watched a lot of YouTube videos and researched a lot of websites including this one on the section of IMBRA as to what is one and what is not one. One very good YouTube video recommended checking that section/part and adding notes on the last page or so where is provided room on the I-129F and put “see additional letter regarding IMBRA/ meeting. Then compose a letter explains the website you had met through and send in the TOS for that website and reference what page thenTOS discusses that it’s free and not an IMBRA.

The previous poster is correct that is up to the petitioner to point all that out with supporting evidence in your original I-129.

I get it that it is the petitioner's responsibility to gather and provide all of the evidence needed, but at this point you would think they would be able to have a database of the dating sites/apps and whether or not they are an IMBRA. A quick and easy reference guide to look through and see. That would save both sides time and money. Especially on their end.

You are absolutely hitting the nail on the head. About 6 months ago someone got an RFE for Facebook. I couldn't stop laughing at the stupidly. Great suggestion.

Tier 2 has higher access creditials. They see much more about your case then Tier 1 do.

Wow.  That’s crazy. How long do these request for evidence take? When I originally filed we were holding my fiancé would be able to come home for Christmas to meet my family. It looks like at this point I won’t even be done before Christmas because they’re saying it could take upwards of 90 days. I really don’t know what to do here, there’s really no approach that works I guess. Even if they approve it at this point, at best and 15 days if I’m lucky, it looks like it’ll take upwards of 4 to 8 weeks to ship to the national Visa Center, and then another four weeks to get to London, plus the two weeks for the interview time and a medical.

Rfe been approved on average between 4 to 30 days. Very few around 4 days. All depends on adjuster.

Nvc should have ur case with in 2 to 3 weeks of noa2

medical for England are about 4 weeks wait

interview can be done 2 weeks after that

visa in hand with in 10 days of approval at interview.

"IF" everything went extremely smoothly. U could still do xmas. Would have to have all ur hens in a row and ready to run at go...

most people can't nor will have this ability.

Keep ur time frame with in a reason time and u won't be disappointed. Setting a tough goal will only make it worse on u both in the end.

Let the system do its job and in the end it will be worth it. Weather it's December POE or February. In the end it's the same result.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1
